Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanI wish I could stay there longer…
The little fancy hut is made of dreams. Everything is adorable, clean and tidy. The owner, Rachel prepared a loaf of bread, cookies, eggs and fresh leafy veggies for us so I could cook a perfect breakfast with them. You can enjoy the fire outside. It's located in the middle of Bruny Island. Can see wildlife like wallabies at night.

AustraliaI have never used an eco loo before, I must admit I was a bit spooked by it but it grew on me, showing “outside” without a heat lamp was a rustic experience, I didn’t hate it I’m just struggling to think of a negative thing to say about the place (which really isn’t a lot, I thought it was gorgeous)
I’ve never stayed in a tiny house, and I must admit that the owners did such an incredible job of a) giving everything a space without it being claustrophobic and b) giving the home a real house vibe. What a gorgeous little place, beautiful books to read, colouring pencils, a free loaf of bread! Fresh eggs and fresh fruit, cereals and complimentary milk. What a lovely little charming space. I absolutely loved it

AustraliaThe only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave because my holiday was coming to an end.
The little home away from home was an absolute treasure. There are lots of interesting books to check out with morning coffee on the deck. Different wildlife would visit during the stay, and there was also a tiny pony that wandered over to say hello. The location was perfect to explore the island and easy to find. It's very close to the bread fridge, but you need to be quick to purchase a loaf because it's very popular. The Bruny Hotel is their local or The Izzy for pizza. Otherwise, eating at the Holy Hut outside by the fire and under the stars is amazing. The inside was very clean and comfy to rest at night. There are plenty of food and drink choices for breakfast before adventuring. The hot shower was relaxing, and water pressure was lush. Definitely recommended for solo traveller or a couple.

AustraliaSome folks might not love going outside for the bathroom in the middle of winter, but it's two steps and under cover, so all part of a proper Tas winter adventure. And the shower is rustic excellence.
Nicely done Tiny Home with separate shower and eco toilet accessed from balcony. Small space, but it's a....tiny home. Comfortable bed and couch, well equipped small kitchen and good breakfast foods laid on with nice home made bread. Easy check-in process, easy location to find 4 minutes from main town on Bruny.

AustraliaThe Shepherd's Hut is so wonderfully established and thoughtfully put together, that my partner and I regretted only staying 1 night! With fresh eggs, baked cookies and cereal on the counter on entry, milk in the fridge, and all sorts of teas and tasmanian blend coffee available - the owners showed care and consideration in making this a welcoming home. The environmentally conscious approach to the bathroom matched the asthetic of the tiny home feel and surrounding landscape, with Australian soaps and shampoos bringing native scents to the experience. Inside was warm and full of soft furnishings, with a heater and blankets there to take the chill away. The owners thought of everything you could possibly need - with plates, cutlery, cooking tools, a 2-burner stove, fridge, kettle and microwave available. The inclusion of books about Tasmania, games for people to play and a torch for the night was a wonderful bit of detail. Regrettably, we didn't have the time to utilise the wood fire, but appreciated the setup as it was positioned looking into the surrounding land. This is clearly a much loved accommodation and was a space we felt immediately at home in for our short stay.

AustraliaA toilet with no lock from inside. My friend was afraid to go out to the toilet at night and felt uncomfortable.
Well equipped kitchen with provision of freshly baked bread and delicious biscuits, eggs, apples and many more. Comfortable bed and clean, cosy little cabin. Thoughtfully prepared a torchlight to view penguins. Clean and environmentally conscious toilet and bathroom. Well decorated room with creatively made furniture. Rachel had provided us a clear direction to the place and a personalised instruction sheet for the use of the electrical appliances etc. Ben patiently gave us the orientation. Many thanks to Rachel and Ben for the warm hospitality.
