    We stayed for 2 nights and our room was not serviced in that time.

    We absolutley loved the vibe of this hotel. It felt very much like a resort in an exotic location and the pools were stunning with great options of food/drink at the outside bar. The location on the beach is also great and we had a lovely walk in to town one morning. The bus shuttle service is so handy and we were never waiting too long. I also loved the lobby area by the piano and was happy to lounge there while waiting for check in.

    Was old. It needs renovation. The aircondition was working in the room at 17-19degrees , we couldnt turn it off. The bathroom has almost no doors. Some of The swimming pools need renovation as well. Too many kids

    The common areas have been done up well with decking in place, however the room areas (bathrooms) could use some further TLC and some of the lagoon flooring needs re-glueing

    The checkin and out could be a bit more streamlined. The process took too long. We were asked if we had our welcome drink after we had checked in and then when it came it was a non alcoholic drink. A glass of bubbles would have been more welcoming or a choice at least.

    The taste of Port Douglas events held there were amazingly well organised. The lagoon pools looked world class.

    The set temperature in the room.

    The hotel is great with lots of fun options for pools, as well as the beach. If you go in the summer, the air conditioning is set at 20 °C or 70°F, and your room might get very hot. The wifi is fast, and the breakfast buffet is a must.

    Unfortunately the hotel hosted the “taste Port Douglas “ event coinciding with our stay, so disruptive and delays in service, some restaurants were closed off at times, so we didn’t get to enjoy all the resort all of the time.

    King suite with lagoon access: view was nice and direct access was a nice feature. Direct access to beach is great.

    It’s supposed to be a relaxing break but my check-in with the staff member with a very very strong Spanish (?) accent was a strain to understand and stressful especially when tired after an early travel. The rest of the front office staff were very easy to understand I wish I could have checked in with them. Also too many qr codes. A regular compendium in room for quick browsing is simpler.

    The pool, comfortable bed and staff that were easy to converse with . Hannah, Consuela, Maria, and Paul were excellent and very helpful. Also the porters and the “Sparkey” who was kind enough to carry my bag up the stairs.

    It is out dated, really needs an overhaul, rooms getting old and smell due to dampness, no exhaust in bathroom, and bar fridge froze everything. Wouldnt stay here again, the beach access and pool doesnt outweigh the negatives i can list.

    Enjoyed the access to beach, the pools and areas to relax at the Sheraton Mirage.

    Room wasn‘t serviced daily or not very well, complaints were not taken seriously; seems professional staff is missing (not saying there is none at all, just there are a lot of employees that need to extend there visas, that do not have proper training for a luxury hotel of that standard). Saying that, we had to wait for coffee at breakfast for 30min. Staff sometimes appeared very unmotivated. Cabanas at the pool had to be rented extra (175$), but were dirty. Towel exchange was handled like in Kindergarten, new towel for an old towel, and counter was hardly attended. Little things, I know, but one expects better in such a luxury accommodation. Overall, enjoyed the stay, but probably wouldn’t come back…

    Beautiful setting, next to the ocean; pools are wonderful, sand playing area has been great fun for the kids;

    Unfortunately the food at the outdoor bar was beyond bad. I never liked 1 item on the menu. Which is a shame when you are having a day at the hotel .

    Bed and pillow are not that comfortable Initial room we checked into wasn’t good, it was ground floor on a corner in building 4, was very dated, exposed and loud. Daniella at front desk was able to organise to switch rooms, into a much better room on first floor building 2. Very helpful.
