We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sorrento Hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were elegant, comfortable, and beautifully maintained — the perfect balance of charm and modern convenience and the bed was perfect. The highlight of our stay, however, was dining at the hotel’s restaurant. We enjoyed dinner there on both nights, and the food was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service we received from Tabitha. She was warm, professional, and attentive without ever being overbearing. Her thoughtful recommendations and genuine hospitality made both evenings truly memorable. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and effortlessly graceful in their service — Tabitha is a true asset to the Sorrento. We can’t wait to return and will definitely be recommending the Sorrento Hotel to friends and family. Thank you for a truly outstanding experience!

AustraliaThe moment we got there we were greeted with smiling helpful staff. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our meals - excellent portions. There is a 10% surcharge on a Sunday - which I don't like but everywhere seems to do that now. Our breakfast was included which is A 'La carte - which I thought was a great idea instead of the buffet type breakfast - so much nicer. It was so refreshing to see plenty of helpful, smiling staff around!
