I paid $240 for 1 room in a shared house and shared bathroom. I thought I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment. My family of 4 were squashed into a house bedroom with a sleep out that just fit a single bed.

There were no bed lamps - only 1 light in the ceiling. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe. We had to park in a dead end street some distance away. Very poor value for money.

The entire home smelt like urine as did our bedding, neither bathroom has been cleaned for sometime and both used by men, and the sheets were covered (literally) in dog/cat hair - absolutely revolting !

Despite host knowing 2 females were coming, he failed to inform there were 5 males also residing at this property.

This is NOT PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION. We arrived to find out that a total stranger was sharing the property with us. This was not stated in the booking. It made the stay very uncomfortable and awkward.

The house is right on a busy street so you can hear some traffic noise - not too bad though. Shower mat in the smaller bathroom didn't seem to be washed before our stay and the fridge handle was a bit sticky but that's just small things. Otherwise everything was nice and clean.

The location is great, quite close to the city centre. The house has parking in front which was appreciated since there's no street parking. The house is nice and big, very comfortable and the hosts were friendly. Kitchen is big and well equipped for basic cooking. Plenty of room in the fridge and freezer. There are two bathrooms in the house, we mostly used the smaller one which is closer to the rooms and the shower was great - big shower head and great water pressure. We stayed in room 3 which was spacious, bed was comfortable but a bit squeaky. We appreciated having guest towels. There's also a very nice outside seating where you could enjoy your meals which we unfortunately didn't use because of the weather.

No proper information from the host. Ambiguous information about the property. Turned out it was a 3BR house where we shared 1BR amongst 4 adults & 1 child. The ad said 2 BR suite but the other bedroom was literally a store room with a single bed fit in it.

We booked the family suite and thought as it was described that we will have 2 bedrooms, 1 living area and 2 bathrooms. At the family suite we had only 2 bedrooms and 1 living area. Bathrooms were shared and they were in the main house that has 3 more bedrooms. As for my understanding the entire accomodation can accommodate 10-12 people and only 2 bathrooms??! I would describe this property more as a hostel. The entire description on Booking. com is very confusing and you really don’t know or understand what you get till you don’t arrive at the property. Such a disappointment- we booked for 5 nights and left after the second day of our stay due to not being able to share the bathrooms with other unknown people, cleanings of the property and the allergic reactions that were developed during the stay.

It’s a house that’s been converted and has 4 rooms in the house and another unit in the back yard that I didn’t see the inside of. It’s got 2 toilets / showers to share between the four rooms and the dining room / living area is also shared. It suited me perfectly but it might not be for everyone.

The place was absolutely spotless and the owner was really nice. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on.
