How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Advise: do not leave any food on the table. We did and next day hundreds of ants were crawling from windows curtains to the table and we had to through away all food that was there. Anys are a big problem.
3 minutes by car to town, nice bed with heated mattress.

The decoration may be a little dated but that is a very minor point.
It was a clean and comfortable stay for a group of 4 adults. The heated blankets were useful in winter. The property has the needed facilities for you to self-cater, making it rather budget-friendly. It has a washer and dryer too. A great place to stay when exploring the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell.

The space was a little tight for five people. Also, the bathroom was quite cold during our winter stay, a heater or some insulation there would have helped.
The location was close to major attractions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and straightforward.

Loved our one night stay here, just what we needed for a comfortable cozy nights rest and loved the electric blankets. It might not be the most trendy accommodation, but certainly one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. Photos don’t do it justice. Would definitely stay again.

The decor was a bit dated (we stayed in the older building rather than one of the new cabins). The kitchenette was a bit small, which was fine for a short stay, but it could use more equipment for longer visits.
The location was great for exploring the highlights of the Great Ocean Road. London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge were only 8 km away, and the Twelve Apostles were 12 km away. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious, with a comfortable bed. There was also a kitchenette equipped with a sink, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a small fridge. The owners were very responsive, and there were no problems with late check-in or contacting them by phone after arrival. We could use the washing machine free of charge and the tumble dryer for a small fee. Parking was also available on site.

its a shared bathroom for 2 bedrooms. However, we have difficulty locking the bathroom door. Once locked, very difficult to open. So we have no choice but to leave it unlocked even when in use.

On arrival, there is a piece of paper taped to the 'reception' window. The names of everyone staying and which cabin number is displayed for all to see. It may not be an issue for some, I guess. However, I personally would prefer not to have my name on display and have a real person available for check-in.
Good location, very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Parking right at the door. The self-contained kitchen was well appointed.

My unit faced the rubbish collection hut. No smells but just unsightly. Suggest to re-orient the hut's door so it doesn't face the unit?

Bed was too firm and bit springy for me. Probably because I'm used to a soft bed. Blinds appear wrong way so there were gaps in privacy at night. Need to turn roll over so blind rolls closer and more directly over the windows. Shower Base could be better.
