Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The location wasn't great, it was too far out of town. The lounge needed to be vacuumed. Found food crumbs and a sock found between the cushions. All equipment in the play room needs repairs which was disappointing.
The house is lovely. Beds are very comfortable with lovely linen. Well heated house. Parking wasn't a problem.

It would have been good to have a book of instructions for things like the oven and heating etc. This has been helpful at other properties we’ve stayed at. Also a few more dishwashing tablets and clothes for a six day stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Spectacular. It is located in a peaceful area, close to a wetlands walk and right on the edge of town. It is an easy drive in to the shops or out of town to go across the border. The house is roomy, well presented and has a great closed in backyard with a games room for either adults or kids. Great for a family stay. Gorgia, our host, was very responsive to any queries we had.

Didn’t realise that one bed was in the shed.
Clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Excellent communication with host who was very accommodating with our requests. Beautiful outdoor area.

The only downfall for us really as there were 8 adults so plenty of bedrooms and sitting areas for us all but only 6 plates and bowls when we came to eat and 6 coffee cups for the morning .
The property was immaculate and very modern , was also great having the refrigerated cooling and fans in all rooms as was very warm whilst we were there . It was also great that bed linen and towels were supplied .

Not happy that the location of the 4th bedroom wasn't in description of the property. Being outside in the shed might not be suitable for all families.

One of the bedrooms is in the shed not the house, whilst it is a contained room with heating it was not included in the description and was not what we were expecting. There was only 6 cups/plates etc which wasn't enough for 8 people we booked for. Hand soap and dish soap were close to empty, no soap in the showers so bring your own.
The house was very modern and comfortable, the beds were very comfy. Its a nice quiet location with plenty of parking. Good communication and easy access to the property with a code. The value for money was good with a larger group. Decent size fridge, large oven and a few kitchen items included such as pans, bowls, trays etc. if you want to cook was good.

unsuit fan full of dust selve in bathroom falling of the wall. BBQ DIRTY had to clean before use, and then the gas line court fire .Rang left a message with no response . Ashtray on table used and left. The game room looks good on photos. That is, it is unable to use the room as nothing was completed One dart half games pool table is dirty, unable to play on.
