We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThere is no wifi. The door code did not work when I arrived - a call to the host fixed that, but arriving any later may have been a problem. No where to hang drying clothes. Upstairs bathroom needed a scrub.
The apartment was clean and tidy. It was easy to find. Close to a few nice bars/restaurants.

AustraliaThe bed was incredibly uncomfortable - we both couldn't have lasted more than 1 night on it! It's like sleeping on lumpy springs and really needs to be replaced. For the premium price, a new mattress is definitely in order.
The location was great, very convenient. The pool was lovely to have a dip in and it's a nice little unit with good airflow and everything you need in it. Not having a key made access nice and easy too.

AustraliaFYI: the iron might need to be replaced, it had ant's living in it, but otherwise everything was great.
The location is great, the place was really clean and had everything we needed. The apartment complex is quite, and the check in process of having a code was easy.
