We loved how there were like little hidden gems around the place. It was so spacious and loaded with extra towels. Linen. Blankets. A beautiful little gem getaway . My grandson is very picky and would usually want to leave 10 minutes after arrival but he loved this place. And didn't want to leave which was a relief to us. Will definitely be back. Thank you

My partner and I had a lovely stay at the Container House. The place itself is very comfortable, with all you need, and is a short walk to the two local cafes. We got up close to beautiful king parrots, which was pretty cool. We also really enjoyed listening to the collection of records provided.

Cosy, great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as fireplace and a sauna. Lovely peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

The area of Blackwood is very beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The wildlife coming to visit was most exciting. The house is of a very unique design and done beautifully. The Owner was most responsive to our enquiries and made our stay most enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our stay @ The Container House. Our favourite part was the serene location of the house nestled amongst beautiful trees. Right on the property we were visited by a kookaburra, wallabies with their joeys, king parrots and cockatoos. It was a delight for us and our daughter. It was wonderful having the sauna on hand to warm up at night after a day exploring; a perfect parents retreat too! The open fire kept the home cosy and warm and the home had a variety of other heating options as needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable; the fun bunks were a hit with our kid! Our daughter also loved the DVD options and she loved the record player; Beatles were on repeat with lots of dancing around the kitchen table. The container home itself offered a great sense of space with the central kitchen and we felt the home was cleverly designed and crafted. We were surprised and grateful to be left some coffee vouchers by Ben which we used up in the village. Blackwood has two coffee shops which was a lovely surprise; we were able to walk into the village twice! We found Blackwood to be a perfect location to visit other nearby towns and sights; we highly recommend a trip to the Blackwood mineral springs, Trentham Falls and Lerderderg National Park. Ben was friendly and so easy to communicate with. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. It was a perfect weekend getaway. We will definitely be back and be telling our friends! I felt like I knew what I was walking into with the container house, as all of Ben’s reviews were great, so I just knew we’d have a great time. Honestly, the place was so much better than expected! Ben’s done a magnificent job creating the space and he’s used great quality materials and appliances to make the space comfortable, homely and warm. The abundance of firewood was a welcomed addition, as most air bnbs these days cheap out and give you just enough to last a few hours. Our son loved the Kangas and birdlife. We look forward to returning and seeing what Ben continues to do with the place. Thanks Ben!

Can't think of anything that we did not like. Probably too short of a stay. We will definitely be back the next time for a longer stay. Everything was great during our stay.

Serene weekend getaway at the Container House. It is cosy and has everything we needed. Checking in was easy, with clear instructions from the host. We love the location, quiet and surrounded by greenery. At the same time, a short drive to Trentham. There is also a short trail close to the house (near the caravan park).

Stunning location, cleverly and thoughtfully renovated shipping container house, wonderful bathrooms (plentiful hot water and amazing water pressure), cosy coonara, coffee machine, fabulous selection of ‘old school’ vinyl, tapes, dvd’s and capacity for Bluetooth. Short (stunning) walk to the main drag - and hours of entertainment watching the abundant bird life.

Great little property in Blackwood, great base to visit the local regional parks and towns. Well equip kitchen, hot showers, and a comfortable bed. Great bonus that you can bring your dog along too.
