The location was excellent - a short walk to cafes and restaurants right in the middle of town, close to the snow fields. Loved the decor, high ceilings and just having the extra space. Such a lovely building.

Bad luck if you want a lie in or a chilled morning staying in The loft when it’s also the storage facility for cleaning staff . I wish I’d have known that-interruptions both days was not helpful. Cleaning staff very nice, not there fault but unfortunate there access was in our room? 🤨

Right in the heart of the town and close to everything you need (food, shopping, rental hire,etc). Nice views, only a 30m drive to get to Mt Bulla if you are there for the snow.

Maybe supply bottled water in the fridge and some instructions for the spa bath? Other than that, facilities were great.

Spiral stairs difficult. The downstairs sitting area was cold and not inviting. The area would feel warmer with a low table and a floor rug. The tiles are so cold.

Had an issue with a power board so could only plug in the fridge or jug toaster etc one at a time. But a not a big deal

I had phoned two times and left a message to ask the property owner things but never heard back! Main bed springing on right side extremely noisy. The powerboard for the kettle kept switching off, overloaded, when I used the kettle so had to take it to the bathroom to use. Too many strong fragrance reed diffusers, even if they may be covering up any rising damp perhaps. Had to move them outside during my stay.

Perfect position, couldn’t ask for better. Very pleasant decor.

The bath /shower should have a bar to hold onto for support/ safety - can be tricky getting in and out of bath when showering There weee no Personal toiletries - there was left however used shampoo and a little bottle wash - We have stayed before - and would stay again- we stayed in the loft and it was on two levels - we were ok but not suitable if you can’t climb up or down a spiral staircase

Beautiful character accommodation in old Tavistock House - grand historical foyer & staircase leads to individual rooms which have modern comfortable appointments. Quiet, extremely comfortable, and centrally situated in Mansfield. Glad we've booked again for the return journey!

Great location. Once you get used to the double code situation for doors it’s super easy. Barely an inconvenience. Room was big and a nice big bath. Great location in the middle of town and an excellent cafe over the road for coffee and breakfast

It would be even better to have a heater in the bathroom, this is only minor but it would make it a more luxurious stay
