Our room's verandah was above the pub's smoking area so it was quite noisy and smokey at peak times but not an isue outside pubs opening hours.

Clean spacious king suite. Large bathroom. Comfy bed. Great central location.

Can be very noisy up until midnight due to being above the pool room & smoking area. However staff clear this area out pretty quickly & it’s quiet after that. Having said that I slept well regardless of the noise. My travelling partner also would have liked hairdryer in the room.

Large, clean, fresh rooms with a lounge & king size bed, tea & coffee, very comfortable. Located up stairs, at the back of the pub, with table & chairs on the balcony, access to the front balcony, so you can sit & watch the world go by. We also were able to leave our hiking gear with staff so we could wonder around Mullum after our stay. Staff all very friendly & helpful 👍.

Somewhere in the building is a self-closing door that crashes shut like a shotgun going off. Given that most rooms are shared bathroom and with no in-room tea/coffee facilities, having some form of complimentary water provided in the spartan rooms would be nice.

This is typical Australian pub style accommodation where the pub was built ~90 years ago. It has it's charms but it is a working pub first and foremost with typical dorm style accom. Expect noise to travel easily (walls are wafer-thin) and loud music until late on entertainment nights. Rooms are simple but very clean, with crisp linen and decent beds. The town is great with a couple of very nice cafes for breakfast/lunch.

Very small car parks out the back which resulted in someone damaging my car and not leaving a note - not happy about that - I'd recommend parking on the street.

The smell of smoke from downstairs and the rooms are pretty grubby now. They need a proper deep clean. I’ve been routinely staying for the last 5 years and the rooms are just getting grubbier and grubbier. It’s time to lift the standard back to where it was.

I was not given the code to get access to the bathroom during the night and had to ask cleaning staff to let me into the facility at 2:00 AM. It would have been nice to have a shelf in the shower for my clothes. And a full length mirror in either the bathroom or the room and more shelf space or dresser in the room.

Had the front corner room, which had no blinds, just flimsy laced curtains, so street and balcony lights flooded in all night and with punters drinking on the balcony, privacy was a bit concerning. The eight oclock am kickoff with street buskers kept you timechecked , recommend earplugs.. its fine for a classic pub.

Right in the cbd, The rustic charm of an old country pub. Friendly staff, stayed for easter bluesfest so the bus picked you up right at doorstep.

The shower was a trickle; no hot water on our second morning; no wifi; large gap under the door that had to be blocked to cut the car park lights out. At over $250/night (due to bluesfest) these issues weren't acceptable.

Less noise before the pub closes, but that isn't going to happen. Wifi would be nice => not hard these days.

Food at the pub is good value. The rooms are fine without being more than you would expect from a country hotel.
