For the price the furniture upstairs was a little shabby. The undersink cupboard needs a deep clean . Dining chairs fairly worn. I had to replace the batteries in the remote for split system.

Excellent location . The river views were outstanding. Comfortable home. Great tv

This is absolutely no fault of the accommodation, but across the river was a new house being built. So all week we had the noise of builders which was annoying. Oh well, that’s life.

Property was in a great central location to the Main Street, with lovely views over the Moyne river. Outside deckings were excellent, and even the fish were biting there as well. Secure under cover parking was a real bonus. We stayed for a week and never needed the car, being able to walk everywhere was a real treat. All amenities in the accom met our expectations. The bed was comfy, it had a lovely bathroom with very plush towels. Kitchen and dining areas were very spacious and well equiped.

Need some more care. Outside area needs maintained: broken chair, broken floorboards on decking, dirty balcony, mismatch of eating and kitchen appliances, flyscreen at main room not working-class

Location, the layout of the premises,

I know you can pay two or three times as much and have a new or totally renovated house, but this place worked for us.

We have often thought it would great to stay in one of these iconic absolute river frontage houses on Gippsland Street. The ambience is lovely with the boats and river. It is also minutes away from all the central town action, yet very quiet. The renovated bathroom is excellent. There is a rainwater tank, essential in Port Fairy.

We didn't use the upstairs bedrooms -- luckily just 2 of us and everything downstairs was comfortable. Steep and tricky stairs up to the 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Outside furniture needs replacement and the listed BBQ was not there.

Fabulous location on the Moyne River and easy to walk out to town, cafes, etc. Comfy bed in main bedroom downstairs.

Overall, great place to stay - right in town, very handy to pubs/cafes and East Beach.

The staircase to the upper bedrooms was a bit steep, so was a little worry with a two-and-a-half and a four-and-a-half year old, but having said that, they did scuttle up and down without problems.

Location right in town and proximity to beach was excellent. We could walk almost everywhere, even with two small children. The back deck on to the river was lovely for sitting out (we made good use of that) and the child-proof fence/gate (in excellent condition) took away any stress.

The stairs to the first floor are narrow. The water pressure was slow. Would have been handy if the garage was accessible.

The location of the Moorings could not be better, one block from the main street, not far to the lighthouse, beach etc - everything is in close proximity. Kitchen was well set up. Great view over the river - very calming.

The beds upstairs were hard and small. The two singles were on wheels and just slid every time you moved. The main queen downstairs was very lush and comfortable . The bathroom upstairs needs an update, skirting board rotten on both sides of shower . Outside furniture needs to be updated.

The view was anazing and location on the river and proximity to street was perfect . Close to town etc. main bedroom downstairs was great but upstairs needs a refurnish.

Steep stairs to bedrooms on the upper level. If oldies or folks with bad knees had the upper bedrooms they would have had difficulties ….

    Lovely location over the water.
