AustraliaWould love to see additional offerings such as a sauna and jacuzzi! Could wipe down the dust from the outdoor seating so I could sit and enjoy the outside without getting dusty. But these are just small things.
The Sands is an unpretentious place to relax and unwind. I was travelling solo and it offered just that. The room facilities are good, the bed comfortable. Smart TV worked well and was good quality. The bistro food was yummy, Italian made pizza and the breakfast too. Staff were polite and helpful. The location is exceptional as well. Stones throw to the beach. I would definitely come again and bring my family too.

AustraliaWe had breakfast at the golf cafe. One breakfast was forgotten although paid for. So particularly poor service. Also, the food was very ordinary - not the sort of food you expect from an upmarket resort. Would recommend going out to Torquay and finding a good cafe.
We had car issues on our journey so arrived very late. The staff were lovely and gave us a complimentary late check out. We only stayed one night but would have loved a longer stay.

AustraliaWould have liked robes and slippers - especially in winter, also would have been good to go to the pool. No lockers in pool area - there but they don’t use them - if I had known would have left my handbag in my room. Didn’t like that the entire pool was divided into swimming lanes. Surprisingly no amenities in the bathroom - shower cap, cotton pads, etc.
The staff - very friendly before and during our stay. Tracey and Marcus at reception, and the staff in the bistro. Rooms were large , clean and comfortable. Onsite bistro. Swimming pool.

AustraliaThe only feedback I would give is that the Bar was shut for our stay however it was in the advertised photos. That was a little let down. Also being winter, we only had a thin dooner cover on the bed, which was too cold in Winter.
Staff were exceptional, in particular the lady who checked us in and assisted us with our air con, getting additional items for our room and also personally walked us to get a table at the restaurant. The customer service was beyond exceptional.
