How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The reception sitting area didnot meet my expectation.. Maybe brighten it up a bit.
The lift was very effective. The receptionist went out of his way to go outside and direct the taxi to the hotel lobby for us. That was awesome. The rooms were very clean. I stayed in a twin share. Not enough space between the beds but it was comfortable.

There could have been a place to pull up out the front to check in. Otherwise it was great.staff were great.

It would of been good if there was foxtel or Netflix offered on the TV for free. I didn't want to pay $15 to watch a movie.
Breakfast was really nice. Great location very accommodating staff.

Not happy I asked for 2 single beds in my room and they gave me an upgraded room with one king bed. Then they changed rooms but had to separate a king bed to 2 single beds. All this while we were in the room trying to get ready to go out and they sent a man to do this. The room was too small for this to happen

Parking costs were not part of the package. It was a separate cost of $40 per night. I felt that was excessive
Great location - central to everything in the CBD. Room was clean and spacious. View was good. We were on level 9.

Could not fault the place, clean and tidy all we needed for a night’s accommodation.
We had a one night stay in the city, being the wknd very lucky as there was a lot of construction going on. Had it been the week maybe a different story. Location location access to everything, walking distance to restaurants, bars etc something ours boys loved. Being able to secure a parking space was a bonus first in bases. Check out was seamless staff very helpful

Furniture in the room a bit tired wish they had written material about hotel rather than stumbling on it on the screen not everyone uses internet all the time Also access to internet should have be part and parcel of room charge not having to go in each day to put it in your phone

The construction next door was noisy at times during the night and I was woken at least 2 to 3 times each night. Unfortunately, understand, beyond the Sebel’s ability to be able to fix…

Great breakfast selection. Pool was a good temperature and each time we swam it was empty. Reception staff were very helpful. All staff very pleasant. Room on 25th floor was spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Would recommend.

Pretty seamless checkin able to secure parking as it was first in basis. Able to pull up straight away and get a park. They were able to put our rooms side by side which was great. Wud certainly come back again

The kitchen was a little small and the layout was a bit strange. We had 2 interconnecting apartments. Breakfast was good - it’s a set menu of a few choices in the cafe downstairs.
Good location - an easy walk to Queen street and train station and cafes etc. we could store our luggage until check in so we could explore the sights.

Water wasn’t hot for bath/shower, kitchen sink mixer was not installed correctly. Cleaning was not very good, spills etc not tidied, found rubbish under chair
