Not much cooking facilities in the room. A toaster would have been great. The lounge furniture was musky & facilities need a little updating.

Beautiful location & the breakfast was amazing. The owner was very friendly. Overall it was a relaxing & fabulous weekend away.

We are 2 tall people, the bath tub was hard for us to use. We wished there was a surrounding shower curtain and were able stand and shower.

Beautiful location, close to Montville shopping village, but away from the busy streets. The spacious room was tastefully decorated & Leeroy warmed it for us before our arrival in chilly winter evening. Leeroy was pleasant and helpful & promptly supplied any extras we needed.

C’est formidable! We stayed in Amelie’s’ Petite Maison for our 39th wedding anniversary. Lovely quaint, charming cottage. Beautiful rural views, peaceful with just the sounds of nature. Enjoyed hot tub on deck and claw foot bath in bathroom. Delicious breakfast and very friendly hospitable hosts. We will be back.

The glass on the fireplace door could do with cleaning as it was so carbonated you couldn’t see the fire with the door closed. I know they had just opened up after being closed for several months, so there were a few cobwebs about the place, and a huntsman we nicknamed Barry living in the kitchen drawers. 😄

Beautiful little cottage with a lovely view out to the rolling hills. The highlights were the beautiful breakfast, fireplace, the beautiful bathtubs, and of course the super friendly host Leeroy! It was warm and cosy and a perfect place to recharge our batteries! We will be back.

Only slight drawback is that there’s no standing shower - the bathroom has a bath with a shower head you have to hold your self. However it meant we had a lovely bath together instead, maybe just something to consider if anyone is staying for longer

None. The place was amazing and we loved the host. They are perfectly lovely and warm people who were welcoming and provided excellent services.

The property is well designed and properly maintained so the house aged beautifully and now has values of culture and history. The room we stayed was full of colours and had everything that we need, facilities all functioned really well and ease to use. The bed was very comfy. The view was stunning and quiet that allow us to fully immerse ourselves in nature and relax.

A definite highlight of our visit was returning to the comfort of the Spotted Chook at the end of each day. The views are beautiful and waking up to birdsong in the morning is magical. The owners couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable and happily accommodated my dietary requirements - breakfast was utterly superb. Every recommendation we received for places to visit and places to dine at in the evening was spot on.

The breakfast was fabulous. I loved the claw foot bath and the log fire. Lovely views from the deck. The cottage was away from the main building and apart from the occasional car on the main road, it was quiet and peaceful.
