Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful rooms with very good, comfortable and accessible facilities. Walk-in shower, shower chair, and non-slip mat were provided for elderly relative with prosthetic leg. Staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.

The breakfast was a little disappointing: no toast or croissants, etc, offered; nor beverages offered.
The room was comfortable; the bed very comfortable. The restaurant was great with varied menus, generous serves and great service.

the only fault which wasn't major was the shower over the bath and tea coffee supply wasn't filled, there was also one coffee opened and folded halfway down

Would have liked a microwave and extra cutlery. However if I had have researched prior to going I would have realised there was a restaurant attached. Pillows were very big so maybe take your own if you prefer flatter pillows.
Clean, classic with some modern features. Good location (for where I needed to be). Friendly staff. Lovely continental breakfast provided. Will definitely be returning.

Tv is tiny by today’s standards and is just a basic TV with no apps. We got woken up several times during the night and early in the mornings before dawn by other guests slamming doors and stomping around loudly. Sounded like there was an elephant in the room above ours, especially between 5am and 7am every day. The bed mattress was hard and I could feel some of the springs in it, making for an uncomfortable sleep. A mattress topper wouldn’t be and investment, considering the cost of the room. Some of the surfaces were still dirty when I wiped them down with disinfectant wipes upon our arrival. The wipes were brown/grey from the dirt they accumulated. The bathroom counter top was particularly grotty. Included breakfast options were disappointing for us as we ate health conscious and only had sugar and carb loaded options to choose from. Not even eggs or bacon. The hot beverages were slow to be served to us. By the time we got them after ordering them, we had pretty much finished eating our breakfast. We were there for three days but after two days we ended up going to local cafes for breakfast because we wanted to feel like we had eaten good nutritious food.
Deluxe King room was spacious and bright. The bathroom is huge.

The room above us was a bit noisy at night.
Small continental breakfast was included in the stay price - which wasn't advertised when we booked - so a nice surprise, plus a real barista made coffee .
