Kate met us and explained the lock code to enter the Hotel/Accommodation. The room was very clean with an extremely comfy bed. We went down to the Restuarant for dinner and had breakfast at a cute little coffee shop (Caffeine & Machine) which was literally a 5 min stroll. We came for an overnight visit and self guided ebike wine tour around Rutherglen wineries which didn't let us down. I would highly recommend Rutherglen and the Beautiful Victoria Hotel. ❤️❤️❤️

We had a wonderful stay at The Victoria Hotel Rutherglen! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was beautifully presented with everything we needed for a relaxing night. We especially loved the attention to detail throughout the property, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the area, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great location in the centre of town. Easy parking. The whole hotel has been beautifully and tastefully renovated and our meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Loved our stay, will come back with friends.

The ONLY thing that would have been an improvement would be to have better lighting in the bathroom for doing makeup. It was hard to see in the low light. Other than that, everything was exceptional!

The Victoria Hotel has been beautifully renovated and is a lovely place to stay. The location is perfect - right in the middle of Rutherglen on Main St. The styling is tasteful and elegant, the beds and pillows so very comfortable, and all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will definitely stay there again.

Tall ceilings so takes a while to warm up. Toilet smells tend to linger also because the exhaust vents are high up on the ceiling.

Lighting over the wash basin was not adequate for putting on makeup/Shaving.

We were in suite #1 - road noise at night from frequent trucks passing through town interrupted our sleep.

It was very noisey, not sure if it was from downstairs or next door, but there was very loud music playing and when the music stopped we could here the guys in the public bar yelling and swearing at the sports game on tv. So even though the room was beautiful I would not stay there again because of the noise. Also no blind on the bathroom window only frosted glass so no way to block out the morning sun, there is also a walkway right outside the window so they need to install a blind. And bad choice of tap wear in the bathroom to get the right temperature you have to have the tap on full and it splashes everywhere.

Great room, nice and big, clean, had a kettle, lovely selection of tea, bed was comfortable. The property has been recently renovated and is still ongoing and even though they have done a great job making the rooms very grand, there are a few issues they should address.

Water pressure in the shower is poor Closing down the shared guest lounge at 9.30pm on a Saturday night is unreasonable and contradictory to guest satisfaction.

Carparking is not yet available due to renovations, and if you have a room facing the main street there is some traffic/truck noise overnight.

Beautifully renovated hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and bathroom was spacious with gorgeous fittings and fluffy bathrobes and towels. The restaurant and hotel beer garden were stunningly renovated and food was great.

Totally non contact cheque in and no contact with any staff during our stay. The renovated pub accommodation is outstanding. Lovely to see the history of these important buildings preserved. Rutherglen is a big favourite of ours and this is the first time we’ve stayed at the Vic. We’d definitely recommend it and we’ll definitely be staying there again when we’re next passing through.
