Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaMy partner wasn't super impressed about the comfortability of the couch, the size of the coffee cups and the pressure in one of the showers. My only complaint would be the set up of the showers- water was lovley pressure for me, but the smaller size of the shower room and the splash off from the shower meant that my clothes got quite wet. A barrier of some kind between the shower and the changing area in the shower cubicle wouldn't go a stray. The heater was also quite noisy- but we got used to it and the kids didn't notice it at all.
The location was beautiful! The communial fire pit complete with marshmallows for the kids was my daughters favourite! (Bonus that our daughter Claire shared the same name as the owner) The communial kitchen and entertainment area was also pretty awesome and there were plenty of fun things for the kids to do inside and out. it was a really good central area to Hal's Gap and 2 pretty decent sized towns (Horsham and Stawell) the giant koala was also really close by and was a favourite for both the kids. The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed (Baroka) beds were comfortable, and TV a good size - not that we spent much time inside. :)

Claire is so welcoming and always responds timely to our needs. The cabin is clean and the heater was on when we first stepped in. We absolutely love the peace and beauty of the area and the owls! The fire pits and marshmallows are a bonus!

The Tiny Homes are perfect! So cosy and warm with a really comfortable bed. It has everything you need in it - and the shower is amazing. Claire and Simon who run the place were friendly and helpful; Claire especially, really made me feel welcome.

AustraliaNothing. Apart from a bit of road noise but it’s also very convenient to be just off the highway.
The tiny house was very comfortable and well equipped and sparking clean with a beautiful view over the paddocks and Grampians. We loved the fire and outdoor kitchen and chose to cook outside and eat outside under the stars. It felt like luxury camping. Our hosts were lovely and very attentive.

It was more beautiful than expected and very clean. Everything was neatly prepared for the guests. It has a very quiet environment and everything from the kitchen to everything else was kept clean and tidy.

United KingdomI'm not sure if I missed it when I booked but I would've liked to know more about the toilet I also totally missed that the house was in a holiday park but that didn't matter in the end anyway. Overall everything was great.
I loved the contact received from staff prior to arrival, during & after- great info sharing. I loved the tiny house, so cute and warm, and cosy.

AustraliaOnly minor issues. Shampoo & conditioner provided in the bathroom but no body wash for some reason. BBQ facilities can be used gratis but there are no real options that allow you to clean the BBQ post use, even though a clean-up is requested. More seating options around the pool. As I said, there are only very minor points
I love the tiny house concept and it gives a great alternative to standard caravans. The tiny house is just that, everything you need in a small space, but surprisingly you get more room than you think might be available. For those that want to know, the loft has a comfortable double bed and also a fold out sofa. There are toilet & shower facilities in the house but also a common shower & toilet block. Basic cooking facilities in the house but there are additional kitchen facilities on-site as well as a welcome recreation/ breakout room A good pool onsite which was more than a drawcard for my son. A great site, comfortable and only a short 25 min drive from Halls Gap.
