AustraliaWe couldn't find any insect spray when we sighted a large cockroach inside. There were used coffee pods among the new ones. Television reception was really bad especially during heavy rain. Maybe a new plastic sheet on the table would be nice.
We liked the fact that everything we needed in a home was there - plenty of kitchenware, pillows and so on. We liked the layout so that our grandsons had their own spaces. It felt homely and cared for.

AustraliaMore warning needs to be given about the $500 deposit that has to be transferred in order to collect the keys. This should be noted BEFORE booking for the hotel. We have stayed in many hotels in port stephens and yes, $100-$150 deposit is reasonable. A $500 deposit we only knew about on the day of arrival was shocking to us, and put a massive hole in our budget for our family holiday. For this reason I would never use this booking agency again. After searching our emails we noticed One email, 3 days out of our holiday, with an attachment and very small fine print did explain the $500 deposit. This is not sufficient. It was hard to come across, not in the main body of the email, and with little notice. Even if we did see this email it would of been difficult to budget for. We had this booking for weeks and much more notice could have been given. The $500 was returned (as a regular deposit would) 10days later. We have had previous hotel deposits returned within 2-3days.
The size and layout is great. The kitchen is versatile and a peaceful location. Beautiful townhouse.

AustraliaCleaning really was not up to scratch with old sweet papers under bedside table. The stair carpet was really dirty. In the family bathroom was very grotty between shower screen and vanity. Matress cover on 1st bedroom was stained and really grubby. Dishwasher filter was full of cheese and corn. some dirty dishes in cupboards. No batteries in upstairs controls for tv and dvd player. More attention to detail would be the answer to someone having a great time at this property.
The position of the Townhouse in regards to the shops was excellent. It was really roomy. Loved the verandah in the late afternoon - excellent for relaxing with nibbles and a glass of wine. Easy parking for car.

AustraliaIt had a really strong smell that was too much. It was a disinfectant smell that was throughout the whole house and even the pillows and beds when we slept. House could have been a little cleaner as we found rubbish throughout and floors were dirty. Needs a little upgrade to furniture as beds and lounge upstairs were not comfortable. For the price I think you would expect a little more
