Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe Chinese man ( owner) doesn't have any manners at all. He didn't even knock the door or give us call before he come in while we were all in the room. He barged into the house. He dont provide us with room number or code before we come in. Not providing enough toilet tissues. He dont know how to talk to his customers. Room downlights are not turning off. Bad switches.
View from the lounge was awesome.

AustraliaThe listing on the website is confusing: I wonder if it is written in one language and translated to English and thus loses clarity. A clear statement that it is a 6 bedroom house with each room let individually and all other areas are common (ie bathroom, kitchen, lounge etc) will help future users. The one bed self contained area that we hired does not share the common areas of the 6 bed house, but I think access should be allowed: for long stay bookings using the laundry would be beneficial. There are a couple of improvements needed: 1. There was no compendium on how to use things in the flat. For example the lights above sink (host did provide new battery) needed to be synced via a reset button which I found out by looking up the instructions on the IKEA website. Clear instructions would be helpful. 2. Heater requires downloading an app, signing up to the app and ensuring the unit is connected to wifi. Too difficult to execute. Needs to be removed and replaced with a simple on/off heater. 3. No other ventilation other than the large sliding door, but there is no insect screen. Insect screen would be great. Of concern: 1. No smoke alarm 2. Need to mop floor every time you have a shower.
It was an adequate stay, suited our needs for a 5 night stay and the host did her best to make it work well. It is very high above the city so has great views but is a hard walk up hill: I would get an uber/taxi.

AustraliaThe facility has one shared bathroom downstairs which is exhausting to wait in line when the rooms are full, and also having to take the stairs to go have a shower, also they do not provide essentials such as shower gel
The facility is clean , very tidy and has a great view, but misses the essentials

AustraliaBit more information prior to check in, such as the property is shared and divided into multiple rooms. Which areas can be accessed and how. It was a bit of a shock to know Im sharing with 2-3 other guests. Especially shared toilets and showers. In room 5, I could hear all the sound that was being made by others going to the toilet at all times of the day. Like the peeing and pooping sounds. It was just gross to hear that through the wall.
The views and location was fantastic.

AustraliaPlace was not clean, uber eats from previous booking 2 weeks prior was still in bin - had to throw in big bin outside. Fan/light control can be found under the bed. Bed was very springy and too soft. Wifi worked when we cane at about 2pm and stopped at about 8pm until the end of stay - attempted to contact property person, was dismissed and told to contact booking instead.
Location was great. View amazing. End street so only local traffic.

AustraliaWe certainly didn't expect to share the one bathroom down stairs with maybe 10 other people. No private entrance - you come through a main door and then through other people having a party and find you room around a corner next to the shared kitchen. None of this is made clear in the description, except in an oblique way. And you just assume for the money that you would get far better than just a room with only shared facilities! It's just not right. It's a group holiday place, which shouldn't be advertised to couples when there is a group there getting ready for a pre-wedding party.
This is not a Band B. This is a largish holiday house where some rooms have been made available. The room we had was with totally shared facilities, one of which was the view from two decks.

AustraliaWe have booked 4 rooms and didn’t know it was 6 bed room house until next day. We didn’t get the key instructions until 2.30pm and it was saying check-in after 2pm. There was only 1 shower, 6 rooms and 1 shower only that was a big headache. Three of our rooms said shared bathroom, one room said Room with balcony (we assumed it has attached bathroom) I can say It was not transparent.
