Beautiful surroundings and a wonderful host. The allowed us to explore the property and the kids loved seeing the calves and skipping stones on the creek. It was the little touches like fresh bread and butter from the Milawa cheese factory.

There was no wifi.

There was supplies for breakfast in the pantry, a coffee machine and tea. There was a full litre of milk and bread, butter (lurpak) and jam in the fridge. I enjoyed the extra touches of the coffee machine, a full litre of milk instead of the small long-life cartons most give you and the lurpak butter, crusty bread and jam. The cottage was warm and cosy and the decor was modern and fresh.

We loved everything about this accommodation. ...it was spotlessly clean, cosy and a lovely home away from home when exploring this beautiful part of the world. The owners were lovely to deal with from beginning to end. They were careful to ensure that everything was perfect during our stay and the goodies we found on our arrival were unexpected and a lovely surprise 😋 The cottage we stayed in was spacious and beautifully appointed. It is privately located in a beautiful farm setting and this was the real highlight for us - the fruit orchards were absolutely beautiful, Bailey the farm dog was gorgeous, the cutest calves, amazing bird-life, trees etc etc. The whole experience was magical and we are so glad that we decided to stay here . We will definitely be back 😁

Frequent noise from gunshots protecting Walnut farm on property. Uncomfortable bed & pillows. Would have preferred more firm support & smaller pillows.

We had such a great time at the cottage! Being on a farm made it extra fun—our kids loved running around and spending time with the cows and other animals. It was super peaceful and perfect for a family getaway. Big thanks to Catherine and John, the lovely owners, who were so friendly and welcoming.

The stay at Walnut Tree Cottages was perfect. The cottage was very clean and well decorated. The property was a beautiful walnut tree farm with a dog and a river to swim in. The property is just outside Myrtleford and the rail trail!

Twenty minute drive to town centres but this is the payoff for staying on a beautiful farm.

Such a beautiful and comfy cottage. Caterina was most accommodating and lovely to deal with. Great fire pit that was set up and ready to go. Enjoyed walking down to meet the cows with Bailey the super friendly dog. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Arrived to the sound of gunshots, was very concerned. It was established much later that this was due to scaring birds away from almond crops. It stated at 0730 and finished at 1900. My husband is a gulf war vet and found it very disturbing. If this was conveyed before hand we would not have booked there. Quite disturbing. In saying that, the unit was lovely. Large, clean, nice extras eg bottle of milk, jams, loaf of bread, coffee pods, cereals to choose from. Dvd player and a few DVDs supplied. Nice shower, and pressure was awesome. Wonderful front and back deck to sit at depending on where the sun is. Price was a bit much per night @330.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

We loved everything; location, comfort, facilities and wonderful host's (including Bailey the dog). The stay at the farm was the perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the nearby towns of Beechworth, Myrtleford, Milawa, and Bright. Joe and Caterina were wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed hearing all about the history of the farm.
