Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI would have found the option to pay electronically more convenient, but I was aware of this before arrival. It did not take away from an enjoyable vist.
Fantastic hosts who go above and beyond to making your stay comfortable, from complimentary pick up and drop off to having groceries in the fridge on arrival. The location is great, short walk to the beach, grocery shop, food opitions and bus stop. With a car you can get to either end of the island in 20 minutes. Great stay highly recommended.

United StatesMarc & Vee were fantastic hosts. They were quick to answer any questions we had prior to our arrival and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. It was nice to be outside of the busy tourist area of the island and get a glimpse of the real Aruba.

United StatesNot really.
Everything! Even though it’s considered glammping, due to canvas roof, between air conditioners and the interior walls, our stay was very comfortable. Marc picked us up from the airport and we opted to not rent a car. Supermarket, restaurant, bus stop and even laundry mat are all with in walking distant. If you like to get away from the tourist and the noise and don’t mind living like a local, then this is the place for you. Everyone on the island is super nice and helpful. We wanted to bbq, Vee and Marc provided a Weber we could use. I wanted to make Piña Coladas - they provided me with a blender. Anything I needed, if it was not at our place, Vee would get it for us. I can with my husband and best friend and we are already talking about when we want to return.

CanadaThis was the perfect setup for us and our two teens. The location was quiet, in a residential area and everything we needed was close by. The beautiful Mangel Alto beach is even within walking distance. We rented a car from the owners and explored the island. Marc and Vee are wonderful hosts, they provided us with airport transfers, and excellent restaurant recommendations, and even left a few groceries for us to tie us over until we had a chance to get shopping. We can't wait to return to Aruba!

GrenadaNo oven for cooking. Only 2 light bulbs working in the bathroom area.
The host was very friendly and accomodating, in fact they were brilliant!. Excellent transfer from and to the airport. Layout of the complex and the property. Well stocked with amenities. Loved the mango tree in the back yard and the front and back pools. Loved the proximity to the beach. Local shops and atm available. The UK TV package that was available to watch, and security of the property. Good links to Oranjestad and St Nicolas.

United KingdomHighly recommended this host! Can you imagine that at 5am the owner of the house after noticing I was on the porch came to me and asked what was wrong. Why couldn't I sleep. It was because of a very bad sunburn. She help me and rubbed my back with aloe vera that she found in her garden. What a care! We got champagne as a gift for our honeymoon. My husband got an ocean fish from Marc, he said it was the best fish of his life. Lots of tips for travelling in Aruba. Cheap car to rent, snorkelling stuff for free and much more. Pretty, very clean rooms, outdoor pool. Everything you need on holiday. 10/10!

United StatesWe were misled from Day one. First , I was told and read on 3 different places in the description , they had a pool and near an ocean , While in the pool day two , were told we can only use the pool until Sunday, 4 days into a 14 day trip . Needless to say we were shocked. It was explained that only renting the biggest apartment , can you have unlimited pool time , More importantly , this was my first vacation in years and with their very poor air conditioning, I had respiratory issues. I had lung cancer 2 years ago. This was a huge issue. We had to leave , I kindly asked for. refund for the second week since we had to rent a new place with regular A/C. But with all the other issues , this medical problem was the straw that broke the camels back. They picked us up in a Jalopy , Outside the place looked like a third world country , when I told Vie I was low on Toilet paper , she told us to go to the market. what??? She looked at me and told me her side of the Island was the real Aruba , where we were going was the “Plastic side “ Well needless to say we had a fabulous time. I wrote Booking . Com asking to help me get a refund , they were not help. Now I know other bad reviews have been deleted from here. Being a past business owner , I gave back refunds, if it was a real complaint . They pretend they care. They did not with me 😔😔😔😔😔Maureen. May 31st 2023
