The staff was great. The room was very nice, the kitchen and cookware were ample and climate control was great. The space was private and quiet and well located.

A peaceful oasis on the south side of Aruba

Scrambling to put together a spur-of-the-moment trip to Aruba, I booked my room at the EVA without thoroughly doing my research first, so I wasn't sure what I had signed up for. But as it turned out, I can't imagine a better choice for my stay. Johnathon picked me up at the airport, greeting me with a smile and a cocktail, which is a welcome sight after a long day of traveling. He took the time to explain history and details of the island on our trip back to the resort, and was accommodating and thoughtful. Upon arriving at the EVA, I discovered that I had lucked out with my impulsive booking. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for: quiet, private, peaceful, beautiful, and located well away from the cruise ships and crowds. My room was tastefully decorated, clean, and very comfortable, with great air conditioning, a kitchenette, spacious bathroom, and everything I needed. The courtyard area is lovely during the day and also warmly lit at night, and has a saltwater pool, outdoor bathrooms, and a shower to rinse off. There's a rooftop area, which is a lovely place to pass an afternoon with a book in a hammock. Although the sea is just across the street, it's not an area where the water is easily accessible, but there are beaches just a quick drive away (my preference was Baby Beach). I did a half-day tour with Johnathon, which was fun, interesting, and even included some adventure! He also took the time to drive me to pick up my rental car, which was greatly appreciated. If you want to be in the heart of the party atmosphere, this will not be your cup of tea. However, if you want the opportunity to relax in a private villa nestled in the authentic Aruba, this is a great choice. If I return to the island someday, I would absolutely stay here again!

If you are looking for a place that is a little more laid back and vibey and less of a crowded resort, EVA is the place for you. Lui, Brooke, and Jonathan are all wonderful people and will take great care of you. They are extremely accommodating, can help with multiple types of activities, and will even pick you up and drop you off at the airport! Highly recommend if you are seeking a unique experience.

Impeccably clean with an upscale/refined decor and secluded feel. Staff incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging to make your stay memorable by handling the little things so guests can enjoy. Very accommodating with respect to arranging transportation and activities. A true gem to experience Aruba off the beaten path and an authentic island getaway experience! My best Caribbean experience to date!!!

The fees that we were charged for services that were given, like massages and facials were not clearly discussed. We felt that too much liberties were taken in charging our card. We had to cook our own breakfast, or go in search of a restaurant for. We did not get what was advertised on the website. The area was too arid for our taste. No sandy beaches, but Rocky spots that were kinda hard to get to the water, which made it unpleasant to attempt.

We didn’t get breakfast or any meals. We were told that meals were not included, even though we spent over $3,000.00 for the week’s stay. Our bed linen were stained a bit, but room was comfortable. No one ever came to change our bath towels or clean the bathroom. We did have extra towels to use, but they were not freshly laundered.
