Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi Arabia1) They don’t have A/C. Only hot air is available. So don’t go there in Summertime. 2) This one is the reason why I had to leave the country the second day. Some workers at crude oil treatment area demanded 200 manat as a tip! Also some cleaners asked for some money.
The place is clean with friendly people. They have: 1) A little shop selling different things like soap, slippers, candy, etc. 2) Restaurant 3) Pharmacy 4) Barber 5) A place for traditional board games 6) Garden in front and all around the building with trees, grass and large size statues of people and camels 7) In addition to their clinics, doctors and treatment areas.

AzerbaijanStayed for 7 nights in a double room suite. It was really spacious and with a good bed. All suits are top floor, very quiet. Relaxing atmosfere, nice meals with a lot of greens and fruits. Small park around the place, but you can walk around and to the city itself. Rare english speaking though, you better know Russian or Azerbaijanian. Focus of this place is in naftalan bathes and medical treatment overall. We visited Chinar during local holidays and the place was a little bit overcrowded, but personnel did their best to manage it.

AzerbaijanThe food was very poor — lacking in taste, variety, and quality, which is unacceptable for an open buffet at a 5-star hotel. There were not enough meal options available. Additionally, the facility is not a good choice for families with children, as there are no amenities or activities to accommodate them.
The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated.

CanadaALmost everything could have been improved. From customer service to pool openign hours, food quality to bureaucracy of booking medical procedures, the place was disappointing from start to finish.
Sadly, Chinar Hotel was a huge disappointment and far poorer than any of the other hotels we stayed in Azerbaijan. Despite our high hopes (and positive reviews we read beforehand), there were several major problems with our stay here. Standard Room Size: Incredibly small and felt cramped. We like to do a few yoga stretches when we travel, and there wasn't even room to lay down a single yoga mat in the room. Pool/Hamam/Sauna Opening Hours: While the leisure facility is impressive and looks newly built, the opening hours are very strange. Nothing is open at all until 1pm, at which time one hour is available for men/mixed (right in the middle of the lunch service) before a women-only 3 hour block from 2-5pm. The facility is then mixed again from 5pm until 9pm (although during this time presuambly you'll want to eat dinner at some point). This was already limiting enough, but the worst part during our two-day stay is that the pool was entirely closed all day Monday (apparently for cleaning, we were told - though why this coudln't be done during the mornings each day was unclear). So, from a 4pm check-in on Sunday to an 11am check out on Tuesday, we were able to use the facility for one brief session on Sunday afternoon before dinner. Food Quality: While the food is not bad and the cold appetitisers are perhaps the highlight, many buffet items kept reappearing each mealtime and if you have any special dietary needs or preferences (such as hot main courses without meat, dishes avoiding gluten or sugar-free desserts) then options are extremely limited. Bureaucracy: The hotel advertsies itself as a medical/wellness hotel, but in fact has the system and mentality of an old Soviet sanatorium.

United Arab EmiratesThe rooms are old, unclean. The staff is non responsive & lacks customer service. The stay was much expensive for the service & facilities. They prioritise native & Russian speakers & lacks English speaking staff. Swimming area is not clean & pleasant. Room service was disappointing.
The clinic reception & staff for Naftalan oil bath was excellent. It was the main reason for us to book the stay.

United StatesThe woman’s hours at the pool were not respected. At least twice I saw men, the staff members and once a guest who was a husband of a female guest. This is unacceptable and I would not recommend hijabi women to come to this resort. Secondly, there were times where I had to ask the reception for help 3 times until they finally listen. For instance, I left a bag with laundry in my room and called for someone to pick it up. I had to do it 3 times until someone came.
First off, the chefs needs a raise. The food was delicious! And servers were excellent. I absolutely loved the buffet experience. I also enjoyed the massage, I did Bali Massage. Wati was really good. The housekeepers were also really nice and provided great room cleaning service. The resort itself is very clean.
