How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewAbsolutely perfect stay! My time at the Cupola Glamping Dome in Sarajevo was truly amazing. Everything was perfect – the view was stunning, especially at night, and the dome was super cozy, clean, and well-equipped. The hot tub overlooking the city was such a special touch! What made the experience even more memorable was the kindness of the host. Not only were they warm and welcoming, but they also helped me with some thoughtful gifts, which I really appreciated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. If you’re looking for a peaceful, unique, and unforgettable stay in Sarajevo, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back!

Verified reviewThe concept is very nice and the city view is amazing especially at night. The landlord was very very nice through the phone and was very helpful and accommodating. Her parents who helped us getting in and make sure everything was as supposed to be were very nice too.
The water was cut off mid night so I couldn't use the wash room when I woke up around 4am. Also, there was no hot water in the morning therefore I wasn't able to take a shower before checking out. There is nothing separating the toilet from the bed, no door or such a thing, and there was no fan or vent in the toilet to take out bad smell.

We will make sure to put bottled water. Even if there are doors, there is ceiiling are that is open. There is fan just below shower behind curtain. Next time we will try to make your stay more pleasant.

Verified reviewA little pod that had all the facilities. Well kept and clean. Kettle and coffee sachets provided. Water is hot and the pod can get warm on a sunny day but the air con is great. You’ll wake up to the first day light and start your morning fresh. Beautiful scenery, top of the hill. Good privacy and serene surroundings. Plenty of parking as it is sort of secluded but close to old town. The owners are friendly. Just remember to bring cash as mode of payment.
Sadly the jacuzzi didn’t work, but we paid the same price nevertheless, which was a disappointment. On the other hand, we used the swimming pool for a few minutes. The mattress could do with a new one as it has dipped in the middle, not firm anymore.

Verified reviewNice view. You get to see Sarajevo City Hall straight down the line. Place is isolated well from its surroundings so your privacy is guaranteed. Bed is quite comfy and well decorated. Place has a number of electronical accessories for your needs. Jacuzzi worked perfectly good and various options for LED lights will allow you to change setting depending on your mood.
While this is a great location for a rest and a great view, accessing the place will not be so easy. Expect to drive through tight Sarajevo roads in Bistrik area. Final road leading to location is very tight from both sides, proceed with caution. Due to the nature of the place itself, toilet is not built off from the rest of the place, meaning that you need to bring air refreshers to keep the smell in place.

Verified reviewThe location and the vantage point of the city it gave - both in terms of view and proximity to the centre of the old town - were fantastic. The host was attentive, kind, and flexible, making us feel very welcome.
We're pleased we stayed here as it was a fun, alternative form of accommodation to try out. However, it was not the most comfortable night. Much of the discomfort came from the fact that staying in a cupola in subzero temperatures is not overly recommended! We could have probably guessed this; the host has made great efforts to address this, so it's certainly not their fault. The accommodation has an air conditioning unit which doubles up as a heater, but the heat does not fully permeate all parts of the cupola and leaves the air feeling quite dry. Staying here in warmer temperatures would be more comfortable and, I imagine, highly recommended!
