Small dorm,clean and nice smelling bedding

The manager Kady was not friendly. A bit noisy at. night with the traffic

When you enter the hostel, Nico gives me a big welcome, just like you are home. You can tell that she cares about all the details in the hostel that's why it's shiny and clean everywhere. I especially love the kitchen, it's big and clean of course. I really enjoyed my time staying there And it's super close to the old town center

I could feel the East asian vibe in the middle of europe! Which i kind missed probably without knowing, respectful host clean room, well equipped kitchen great location plus very chill also the price of laundry was the cheapest I've ever been to during my whole trip!!

Maybe it applies to the male dormitory it is right next to the street on the ground floor. You can hear clearly the car and motorcycle pass by

Clean No bunk beds which was nice. Each bed has a night light, a table, and a locker. Nice host.

Too many stairs. A little far from the center. The nice owner lives in the same house and shares the kitchen. Ceilings are too low but not a huge problem. Overall good

Nice and warm guest house, with friendly people from all over the world and very clean spaces. Nico pulled up with my needs and she’s simply the sweetest, but you gotta behave!

This was a very comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable stay with Nico, she is attentive and friendly, the whole place is always clean, there’s everything you need for cooking, working or just hanging out with other guests. All the best parts of the city are within a walking distance, museums, palaces, the bridges, everything is super close. I am glad to have found such a nice place to stay, I made great friends and I will definitely be back to explore Sarajevo in the winter.

The location was super convenient, close to public transport, food, and attractions. Whether you’re a solo traveler or with friends, this place feels like a second home. It’s very clean and cozy, located just 7-10 minutes from the old town which makes it an amazing location! Also, the people there were really nice! I sunburnt a little and the owner was really kind to offer me an aloe cream to soothe the pain 😅 since the shops there don’t work on Sunday.

It is alright, but may be a little inconvenient for someone that there is only one shower and another one is a bath.

Clean, quiet and great location

You can’t stay on the property while waiting to check in, which wasn’t a problem but I wish I knew ahead of time so I could have made different travel arrangements

I recently stayed at this hostel and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room and common area were super clean, and it was so quiet that I slept like a baby every night. The hostel’s location made it easy to explore the city on foot. It also featured a fully equipped kitchen for all your meal preparation needs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Best of all, the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home; friendly, attentive, and always ready with great local tips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality!

Exceptional location and really home-y atmosphere (even homemaking meals for 10KM!). Our host Nico was very supportive when I first arrived on June 26 in the early morning, with WiFi and cash withdrawal and everything.

Personally I’d prefer some curtains to separate the beds, but my roommates during my stay were all total sweat hearts. The laundry costs a bit much (10KM washing plus 15KM dryer) but handwashing is perfectly ok for me during summer anyways.

The location of Álfar House is excellent — just a short walk from Sarajevo Old Town, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and exploring the city’s historic heart. The room was clean and cozy, and check-in was smooth. The hosts were friendly and responsive. It’s a quiet place despite being so close to the city center. Highly recommended for travelers who want to stay near the Old Town but still enjoy peace and comfort.
