How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewService and communication with owner is on high level for maximum comfort and comfortable stay in apartment. Great welcoming notes and cleanliness is on its highest priority, for us very important on traveling. Also availability of all necessary equipment for long staying, if you think something is necessary you will find it.
Not many things related to property, since mountain in general is need for more available activities during long staying. Also, since many apartments in offer, as owner stated, you have to be specific which apartment you want if you are really requesting something specific. We wanted to stay in excelent apartment no matter location or orientation or beds or anything alse...so we get more than we were expecting.

Dear Zvonko, Thank you for your successful stay. Unfortunately, due to your inadequate use of this application, you have written an incorrect and untrue review. I have to advise you so that you don't damage another renter with an untrue review. When making a reservation, you can view pictures of each apartment from the offer, because the group gallery contains pictures of a total of 4 apartments, so you can see in detail what awaits you in each of the apartments from our offer. Therefore, it is not true that the pictures do not correspond to the actual condition, because you have just received the apartment that you have chosen and which, by the way, is the most affordable and the smallest one from our offer. Furthermore, in the description of our property it is clearly indicated that these are apartments in a residential building, so you could have known before booking that you did not book a cottage or a house, but an apartment in the building. So, you damaged me with the untruth written in the review, and in fact it's all your fault for not knowing how to use this application correctly, you didn't look at the pictures of the apartment you booked, you didn't read the house rules, you didn't read the rules for check-in and check-out from the apartment, and in the end you didn't know that you need to pay for the apartment you used because you didn't enter your credit card information in the application. I hope you will at least deign to send the money for the apartment as you promised! Greetings!

One room was even perfectly set up for the kids with two beds, separate comfortable bed for adults. We announced our arrival on time at 12:30, but we waited in front of the apartment and were only able to enter at 2:45 p.m. because the apartment was being cleaned. The apartment is anything but CLEAN!!! An unpleasant stench from the rugs was felt in the bedroom (which we had to leave in front of the apartment to air out during our stay). We had to disinfect the floors in the same room because they stank from the rugs. We found several bundles of black female hairs in the apartment. In the end, due to inconvenience, we forgot the quick charger for our mobile phone in the apartment and immediately informed the owner that we had left it, the owner promised to send it next week, then again next week and the third time we sent a message, he didn't even respond. My wife contacted him publicly on FaceBook and the owner then reported that the maid did not report that anything was left (even though we immediately informed him that the charger was forgotten in the bedroom), and in the end he said that probably one of the guests had taken, and has a record of the arrival of all guests. This is our first and only negative experience through Booking!!!
Dear Mirza; I am very sorry that you wrote a review full of lies where you lied about everything you wrote because I did not want to buy you the charger that you lost and that I did not find in the apartment. It is a lie that you immediately informed us about the loss of the charger, but you contacted us 2 days after your departure and asked for information on the location of the charger. Based on more than 200 reviews, our average score for cleanliness is 9.6/10, which speaks volumes about the cleanliness of the apartment. I am not responsible for your lost things that you did not lose in the apartment at all and that is clearly stated in the house rules, you asked me to buy you another charger because you lost yours and you are solely responsible for the loss of your charger and not one of my employees. It is a lie that you waited for check-in until 2:45 p.m. because the apartment was ready for check-in according to the house rules from 2:00 p.m., you should have read the house rules when booking where it clearly says that check-in is from 2:00 p.m. regardless of the fact that you have announced your arrival at 12:00, we did not confirm that the apartment will be ready from 12:00, because it is impossible.
