How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing location. Few minutes walk from old town and few minutes walk to get to the transport up to the mountain. Excellent staff, very welcoming and easy going service. Great stay and would visit again.
Breakfast choices for something sweet could be better but that is just minor.

Verified reviewThe hotel looks wonderful. It is new and literally one minute away from the city center. Also, the staff is kind and helpful. All in all, we really liked it and it is a great choice when visiting Sarajevo.
I think the breakfast could be improved with more non-sugar options, they have way too many cakes, chocolate croissants, pastry etc. I wish they had a larger variety of fresh vegetables ane less canned food (or not at all). Also, it is pretty difficult to reach it by car, there might be a problem with the hotel’s location on waze/google maps, we went on circle for 30 minutes, but that is not their fault.

It was a little noisy at night due to neighbours.

Verified reviewComfortable, clean and close to old town.
Whilst the location is central, it is up a very steep hill, with cobble stones that make walking difficult, especially if you are not young and fit.

Verified reviewBreakfast.
50% chance to get a clean(?) towel, they were either stained, dirty or with a hair! Bedsheets and etc had hair on them as well (when I asked, thankfully this got fixed). The room seems like its never get vaccuumed at all, there were many rice grains on the floor.

Verified reviewGood parking for motorbike. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful..especially the checking in man who was concerned for me when another biker started spouting off verbally in an aggressive way. We didn’t make breakfast so can’t comment on that. Bedroom was huge and very comfortable with large bathroom and free toiletries. Not too far from the old town.
The shower was great but the drainage bit wasn’t installed deep enough for the water to run away..you needed to keep your eye on it so it didn’t flood the floor.

Verified review🟢The staff is responsive and willing to help. For example, when we realized we couldn’t lock the door because the lock was broken, they provided us with a physical key in addition to the keycard. 🟢We stayed in a deluxe room. It was quite spacious, and the view from the window was impressive—although some windows faced a blank wall. 🟢The hotel is fairly well located. You can reach the main attractions in the city center quickly. However, be aware that the hotel is on a steep hill, which can be challenging to climb in hot weather. 🟢Breakfast on the terrace is a nice option.
🛑Upon checkout, we were persistently asked to pay for the room a second time. When we explained that it had already been paid through Booking.com, the receptionist insisted that no payment had been made and that our card had only been linked, not charged. Only after we showed her the payment confirmation and the deduction from our account did she start searching and eventually found the payment record—marked as received more than a month ago. She only stopped insisting after that. This situation is unacceptable; it felt like an attempt to charge us twice. Later, we found similar complaints in other reviews on Booking.com, suggesting this might be a recurring issue at this hotel. 🛑The bed advertised as a “very large double” was actually two single beds pushed together. They do separate during the night. 🛑As mentioned earlier, the door handle was broken, making it very difficult to close the door. We reported it on the first day, but nothing was done—even by day five. Other guests have mentioned the same issue in past reviews, which suggests that the owners do not care to fix it. 🛑Cleanliness is lacking. I suffer from allergies and noticed right away that the room was dusty in places that had clearly not been cleaned. We also saw insects and traces left by previous guests. 🛑There was mold on the bathroom door. 🛑No complimentary water was provided in the room—you could only buy bottled water downstairs at a price 2–3 times higher than in the city. 🛑The room is full of warnings about fines for damaging hotel property, yet many things were already broken—besides the door handle, the safe was also not working. 🛑Breakfast is repetitive and basic: eggs, bread, pastries, ham, cheese, cereal, and a coffee machine.
