The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the old town, yet quiet and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, going out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly. Very friendly hosts, they helped us find shops, restaurants, and helped us with parking even after check-out. The rooms are cozy, clean, they have everything you need for a trip, and the terrace is very nice and has a wonderful view. I recommend these apartments.

Cosy private room in a separate small house with a balcony with a fantastic view over the surrounding hills and their lovely garden. It was close to the old center just 5 minutes walk uphills from the main square. The host Aida and her husband gave a warm welcome and tips for the stay in Sarajevo. They also invited us for coffee and even a homebaked baklava so they couldn’t be nicer. Also arranged taxi to the airport and made sure we were picked up in time.

If you are visiting Sarajevo, this is the place you want to stay at! Aida and Elvedin are warmhearted and kind people who will elevate your stay in Sarajevo to the next level. They are both born and raised in Sarajevo so make sure to ask them all about the city and its history. They will happily share their stories from and knowledge about the city. As for the apartments they are extremly clean and have a true bosnian feel to them. The view over the city is truly mezmerising and the Old Town is a couple minutes away. The garage parking was great for my big Opel Vectra. I have already booked my next stay at Green Gate Apartments!

Only that we couldn’t spend longer in Sarajevo

Aida and Edo were incredibly caring and helpful hosts with lots of information about Sarajevo. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The shared terrace had a beautiful view, perfect place for a Bosnian coffee. Bonus was Pasa the dog and Freckan the cat (wrong spelling probably). We enjoyed the walk down the hill into town which was very close. Aida was very accommodating when we had to change our travel plans unexpectedly. Thank you for such a memorable and welcoming time in Sarajevo, we hope to return one day in the future.

I thought a lot about what I didn't like but I coudln't find anything. All is good!

My staying at Green Gate has been very pleasant and cozy. The hosts (Aida and Edo) are amazing: super kind and willing to help in any possible way. The apartament is in a very quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the main square. Don't be scared by the uphill road: it is a good way to give oxygen to your blood. The room was neat, clean and cozy and there's also a very cute common resting area with a nice vew on the city.

We loved this place! The hosts are amazing. Communication was great from the start, we asked if we could check-in earlier as we were arriving to Sarajevo around lunch time and they were super accommodating. Aida has prepared a little booklet of information for all guests and she also gave us a lot of information about Sarajevo, which is really appreciated. She is super friendly and we would have liked to stay longer! Location is perfect. A couple of minutes away from the hustle of the old city, so you can sleep well at night but you can also easily reach museums and the tourist area. We also loved the area as it feels authentic. Beautiful views from the terrace, where it’s lovely to just sit and have a chat (thank Edo for the coffee!). Our apartment was super clean and it had everything we needed. Great shower and comfy bed. I also loved the little touches, such as the Sarajevo key ring - you can tell they care about the guests. When we are back in Sarajevo, we will come here again!
