You have to make an effort to get to the property as a backpacker since it’s uphill but it’s 100% worth it and not far at all from the city centre.

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in, hands down. The place was beautiful, clean, well organized and had a great vibe. Every detail was super thought out. The owner was so nice and clearly made an effort to make everyone feel at home.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! Such a lovely atmosphere. The host is an exceptionally kind and welcoming lady, and the whole place carries the same cozy vibe. Guests are mostly quiet and polite, which makes for a perfect antidote to the hectic festival energy in the center. Yes, it’s on a hill, but honestly the 15-minute walk is more than worth it for this little oasis, with its beautiful terrace overlooking the city. The common spaces are great, everything is spotless, the lockers are unusually spacious (!), and the kitchen is well equipped. Bosnians really are the best hosts. Definitely coming back!

There were many stairs to get to the room, so it is not accessible for people with disabilities. It is not too close to the train station, but it is to the city ammenities.

It was a very big room with big beds. The bathroom was clean although shared. They give tea and some tours if you have time. We could live our luggage even after check-out time.

What I really don't like is the location (even though it is close to the old town), as you will really get tired of climbing uphill to the hostel.. and yeah, the room is kinda warm.. they have to do something to their AC..

It’s a bit out of the way, and on top of a hill. Although we knew that when booking. It’s near some transport stops but only a 15/20 minute walk to the old town. So doable on foot

At this hostel, I've finally had a good, sound sleep that I've been needing in my 2 weeks in the country. I was amazed how spotless everything was! However, what really stood out, were all the extras in the room which are usually always needed but always missing....such as hooks, surfaces to place one's stuff...there was even much more.... seating, hangers, lockers....truly impressed ....this must be the best hostel not just in Bosnia but all over Europe and possibly worldwide, especially when you consider what you get for what you re paying.... Amazing hostel indeed!

It was on top of a hill, be ready for quite a climb. Curtains in front of the beds would make it even better.

Clean and nice hostel. Stayed in a female form for a few nights which was good. The lockers were huge, which was great to store my backpack. Overall a good atmosphere with plenty of bathrooms and a big kitchen.

- there's no place in the shower to put my own shampoo and stuff while showering - it's up on the hill... kinda exhausting - beds would be perfect if they had curtains

Returning to Hostel Kucha 7 years later and it's just as great as I remember! We loved the large private room with squeaky clean en-suite bathroom. Our bed was very comfortable and there was even a TV in the room. The hostel's location is slightly out of the town centre (but still within walking distance, up a steep hill) allowing a peaceful night's sleep, plus the kitchen has everything you need to prepare food & drinks. I will definitely come back to Hostel Kucha when I return to Sarajevo.

Access to the hostel from the bus stop where the airport bus drops off involves an uphill climb. In the height of summer with heavy backpacks on, this isn't great! Obviously, not the hostel's fault but I thought it important to mention - you may want to get a taxi if you have a lot of luggage!

Lovely, friendly, relaxed little hostel located uphill (but only a short walk - around a kilometre) from the old town/bazaar area. Staff are super helpful with making recommendations for what to see and do and where to eat and drink. We followed two of their recommendations and were super pleased with both.

It's not something I disliked but it is good to know that the hostel is 18 minuites straight up from the old town with quite an incline the enyire way, it gets quite tiering.

I really liked the building and facilities, it has everything you might need. They do give out a papper with resturants, bars and attractions they don't want you to miss! And their recomendations was very well.

Friendly staff, there if you needed them but left you alone. Very clean. Great communal area stocked with herbs and spices and herbal teas and sugar. Showers and toilets almost spotless as was the rest of the hostel. Close to some food places. Met some great guests too, all friendly and open minded.
