Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Absolutely nothing!
Everything was absolutely amazing, the hosts are lovely, the house has all amenities one might need. A very quiet location, comfy beds, everything 10/10❤️❤️❤️

We had a room that only had windovs to the corridor, so in the night we couldnt ventilate. There was AC though. But for the price it was great.
The hospitality was great, the host was very kind and helpful. The surrounding garden was beautiful and the accomodation was very clean. Location was great.

The hostel was very nice and we were welcomed so friendly. Everything we needed was provided and thanks to the big garden we even got some delicious pomegranates

This is a great place to stay if you visit Mostar! Shared kitchen, nice and clean, comfortable beds, an amazing view from the balcony and near the old town and the bridge stari-most!

Nothing - everything was great.
Great location - very close to old town and bakery to buy breakfast but is very peaceful. Rooms and kitchen are well equipped and the owner is very helpful. No problems finding the property.

Highly recommended this place! Host was super nice and helpful, waited for us even though we arrived late. Room, bathroom and kitchen are all well equipped and new. Right around the corner from old town.

Very good location and owner. Nice garden and much common space to use. The only problem, that is not hostel fault, is that the street it lays on does not exist on Google maps. Use the point Booking is showing, go into this small street and the proper street will be on the right

The host was very friendly, lovely garden to sit in, the room and bathroom was spotlessly clean, the location is very close to the bridge and centre, there’s a very cute friendly cat, kitchen where you can cook with a stove and even candies in the room :)

Parking very difficult in this part of the city but that goes for any place near the old city.

Our most beautiful memories from Bosnia. The property is amazing and the owner is so kind. It is sparkling clean, cosy and super well maintained. Amazing location.

Address may be a bit difficult to find for the first time because the house is in the alley.
Room & the bathroom were clean. Amazing wiev from the balcony. Good location, walking distance to oldtown and the bridges. Owners were very helpful. (Owner lady can speak also German.) Definitely worth the price.

Slow wi-fi.
A very good location near the old town, very clean both room and shower with toilets, a large balcony with amazing sun rise view to the southern part of Mostar and the hills around.

I think there was a sign that said that they lock the gate over night, so you had to be in by a certain time. We did not stay out late, so it wasn't an issue for us, but others might mind.
Really nice hostel. It felt very homely, but super clean and quiet. The owner was lovely.

Very nice and welcomming lady who made us feel like home! Speaks German very well! We had very interesting and nice conversations about the history and culture of Bosnia and Herzegowina:) All that for a very good price! I can only recommend !

It was very difficult to find the hostel, as it was down a few side streets and there was no signs anywhere (not even on the door when we arrived).
Great balcony overlooking the city and the kitchen facilities were clean and included everything you needed :) Just a 10 minute walk from the old town and Stari Most

Nothing, we were overall very happy :)
Lovely house in walking distance to all main amenities of the city, very clean and quiet, beautiful garden and sitting outside area, I really appreciated that as we travelled with 6 dogs! Even that was not a problem a nothing extra has been charged. For 2 people and 6 dogs, I think this was absolutely fab place to stay and excellent value for the money. Host and her family are all very nice and helpful!
