Showers could be cleaner , but that’s about it

I stayed here from 10-15 August , rebooking the same hostel twice after I felt so at home here. My bicycle could be parked in the laundry room and the staff were accommodating in everything. I could use their freezer for some ice cream I bought, I could use their clothing lines for my laundry even though they offer their own laundry service, and so on. The atmosphere is one of the good old hostels. The airconditioning works perfectly sometimes too good haha. The beds are comfy and the internet works well.

The rooms are a bit noisy because they are so close to each other so I would recommend you to have ear plugs to be able to sleep

I really loved Sarajevo and this hostel made it a wonderful stay. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Also, it was clean, cozy, and had a nice vibe without being overwhelming, perfect for solo travelers like me. The staff were genuinely kind and the location was excellent, near all museums, restaurants and near the old town too.

A wonderful hostel in the city center. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Well equipped with slippers, towels, AC, free coffee and tea. We traveled with a dog and they even provided a blanket. That was so cute, thank you!! Would gladly come again!

The staff was really great! Big shout out to Flor and all her positive energy that made everyone to feel super comfortable. It´s a very good place to meet people. The location couldn´t be better, right in the center of the old town.

Just a minor negative - at times, it was quite loud with the shared bathrooms next to the room and the reception just down the coridoor. Most of the time it was okay but some soundproofing in the room would be beneficial.

Brilliant staff welcoming you as you arrive and throughout your stay (especially Ivan and John). They really cared about you having a great time and being social with other guests. Cheap draught beer (2 euros) in the common was a great bonus. Comfy private room. Perfect location, right in the centre of Sarajevo. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My only suggestion is to add curtains to the bunk beds - other than that, everything was perfect!

Hostel Vagabond was great - Dennis at reception had a lot of info about the city and country, and went above and beyond to make the hostel a welcoming and friendly space. He also managed the noise well on a Friday night, and it was quiet by 11pm. The wifi in the hostel was excellent on all levels, and they offer free printing and a paid laundry service. The building is heritage listed, so any changes take time to be approved, and they're gradually adding things like shelves in the dorm rooms and fixing the occasional squeak in the floorboards and door handles. The 8 bed dorm room was always full, but most people were very respectful of noise and making sure their alarm was quiet. The kitchen has a stove so you can actually cook, and the bathrooms are cleaned daily and always had toilet paper. You can store your luggage if you have a late flight, train or bus, and the location is right in the centre of West Sarajevo. If you arrive at the East Sarajevo bus station, there is a trolley bus only a 10 minute walk away, that goes close to the old town and the hostel. The ticket cost 1.80 Bosnian marks and you buy a ticket from the driver. It was a much better option than bargaining for a taxi which is at least 10 euros (more if you don't bargain!) from the East Sarajevo bus station into the old town and hostel. I would definitely stay here again!

Was a bit noisy given its popular location had a lot of changovers so late comers and early starts but that hostel life !!!

Fantastic location and friendly staff, who pointed me in the direction of peak Maglic away from Sarajevo (which is incredible if you are serious walkers) and a local eatery too
