How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Open concept loft area with shared rooms so the vibe is determined by the current tribe of travellers. l made great connections with other full time and long term travellers who made the stay above average for any hostel. And to have a 10* experience for 10€ is simply amazing. The one bathroom sometimes has a queue but it clean and adequate if you are patient with the process. l will stay here next time l am in the area

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at Hostel Kamena Ćuprija in Konjic. The owners were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The hostel is cozy and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the old stone bridge and the river nearby. It’s a peaceful place where I enjoyed relaxing and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. I would definitely stay here again — highly recommended!

Verified reviewI've stayed in so many hostels around the World but this was one of the most special places I've ever stayed in!! It's the first floor of a house, so there's no busy hostel feeling. It's a really homely vibe and the lady who runs it is SO sweet! My absolute favorite thing about this place was the balcony. OH MY GOD! I literally sat there for two days admiring the view. This place is 100% the best value for money I've ever gotten anywhere in the World! Would definitely go back and if fact I'm even considering contacting her to rent me that place on a monthly basis sometime soon.

Verified reviewI was impressed by how the hostel looked. The common area was spacious and beautiful. It felt more like a big comfortable apartment rather than a hostel. The balcony was the best! It has an amazing view. I wanted to book another night because of the balcony but unfortunately i had to return to Sarajevo to fly home.

Verified review-The host let me check-in early and I could not be more grateful than that because I actually may leave on the same day and I did. It was especially meaningful when the day I visited was raining, so I was able to relax in the room before I left. -There were no other guests that time so I could choose any bed in any room and I got to use the queen bed. -Spacious bathroom, spacious rooms. -The view from the balcony was beautiful. A good place to relax. -Natural lighting in the bedrooms and bathroom. (Not in the common area, kitchen, and bedroom next to the common area)
-There was only one trash bin in the facility, only in the kitchen. It would be nice to have at least another one in the bathroom. -The location is quite secluded, not easy to find using the Google Maps, need to pay attention to the picture of the house when you walk along the street. It's actually located towards the end of the street. The neighbours nearby were helpful (if you are lucky to encounter any neighbours while you are looking for it) -The wifi is not as good. I was using my own mobile data instead. -I did not overnight and I was there by myself so the following did not concern me but it might be a concern for other guests during peak season: no locker and only one bathroom for the whole place.
