Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRooms were a decent size, beds and pillows very comfortable Breakfast very good Staff very helpful This appears to be an extended building which means unfortunately there are steps leading to the elevator. I don’t think anyone with mobility issues would be able to manage all the steps. The staff did carry my luggage to the room.

SloveniaThe only downside of my stay was the breakfast experience. Although there were many options, some items like hard-boiled eggs, bread, salami, and juice often ran out and were not refilled in time. The juice dispensers were regularly empty, and even after asking the staff, it took quite a while to replace things. This was frustrating, especially for guests who are in a hurry and end up eating food they didn’t really want. Some staff seemed more focused on chatting with guests than checking on the food. With a bit more attention and quicker service, the breakfast experience could be much better and match the high quality of the rest of the hotel.
This is a great hotel with a beautiful interior and a big lobby that includes a nice, spacious bar. The staff were very friendly, polite, and always ready to help with tips or advice. The rooms are large, clean, and have everything you need. The bathroom was also very clean and comfortable. Big thanks to the housekeeping team—they did a great job! The price is a bit higher than some other hotels, but it’s totally worth it for the quality and service you get. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the old town, which is also the city center. The old town has a unique, historical feel of Ottoman times, with lots of small shops, tasty local restaurants, and kiosks with traditional food. There’s also a lovely park just a minute away from the center. I would definitely stay here again!

Having had some rather bad experiences with hotels around the Balkans, this was a very pleasant surprise. Location was fantastic. Having the garage is wonderful. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Staff was exceptional. Having a pool during a heat wave - priceless.

Repeat stay, excellent facilities and fantastic staff. Very accommodating, friendly, polite staff couldn't ask for more. Buffet breakfast was a little bit disappointing with repetitive food choices but overall very good. Happy to stay again.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWhen it was time to check out, they literally turned off the lights in the room, which did not allow us to finish packing our things in a comfortable environment, and simply go to the toilet before going on the road. The ability to return at night to enter the hotel requires that the doors be opened by the hostess at the reception. Also, the sauna and all the spas were not working, for which the choice was made at Mellain, only the swimming pool was working, there was also no opportunity to order food in the room, the restaurant in the hotel was also closed. In general, EVERYTHING FOR WHICH THIS HOTEL WAS CHOSEN WAS NOT available or was not available, the hotel rules seem to demonstrate that it was not created for relaxation...

Breakfast was basic . A nice looking hotel however too many items were chargeable such as parking and use of sauna which was 42 euros

CroatiaIt is truly unprofessional that a 4-star hotel in Tuzla doesn't even have secured parking spaces. You can park in the underground garage, where the daily rate is 24 euros, which is outrageous. Or you can try to find parking in the surrounding streets and pay the city parking fee. Breakfast is a disaster. Although breakfast is served until 10 AM, by 9:30 the food was completely cold, the cheese and cold cuts plates were almost empty, the fruit was half-rotten, and there were no juices at all. Definitely overpriced accommodation for what it offers.
A big room and a good view.

SwitzerlandProperty is already in decline, what is broken or does not work remains broken or ill repaired (bath tub clogged, damaged wall, etc). Besides, the colors of the floors, furniture and the walls are simply awful and tasteless. Was the designer color blind? Old fashioned, hundreds of colors, green, violet, gold, etc. mixed among floor covers, walls, furniture, like millions of parrots, with exception that nature mixed the parrot’s colors better than this “designer”.
Staff was very good, location, spacious rooms.

CroatiaParking is in the hotel, but you have to pay it extra. I think that for hotel guests it should be for free.
It is non smoking hotel with great interior, big comfortable rooms, great spa center and gym. Hotel is placed in the city center which helps with going through the town. I love music that plays in the hotel. Music is mostly pop rock English style. Breakfast is great. There is lots of tasty food and great coffee.

LuxembourgThe most guest unfriendly hotel I ever stayed. Hotel is too expensive for what its offer. There is no mini bar available in room, no room service available for food and drinks, forbidden to bring any food into room including water (no water available in room !) If you are thirsty or hungry, you have choice to go to bar on the ground floor or restaurant on 1st floor. Hotel has long list what is forbidden and no list what is available in hotel. Additional charge of sauna costs 40 EUR per hour, not including in hideously expensive room rate over 100 EUR per night. Parking has to be paid as well. Unfriendly receptionist is blocking you to bring anything in your room, even water ! Overall impression is that hotel does not care for its guests.
