A wonderful flat with the added plus of lovely hosts - super helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone travelling solo and wishing to discover the city of Sarajevo.

The hospitality of our hosts was unmatched. Although we only stayed for a short time, we felt their immense kindness. They waited for us in the evening, arranged a parking space, and Nina’s muffin was simply delicious! The bazaar is just a few minutes’ walk away. We will definitely return!

We stayed just one night at this beautiful apartment with a stunning rose garden, right in the heart of Sarajevo’s old town—only a few minutes' walk from everything. I truly regret not staying longer. Spending the night in the garden was magical. Once the gates are closed, you're surrounded by peaceful silence and a sky full of stars—it feels like your own private oasis in the city. But what truly makes this place special are the hosts, Nina and Faruk. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine care made us feel like old friends, not just guests. They are one of the reasons we would return to Sarajevo without hesitation. Their home is beautiful, full of charm and heart. Nina and Faruk also kindly offered to help us with local tips and organising trips in and around the city, though we sadly didn’t have time to take advantage of it. Our family fell in love not only with the apartment and the garden, but with them as well.

I've only stayed in one place in Sarajevo but I'm still pretty sure that this is the best one there is. I arrived three and a half hours late at 23.30 because the trains were following  balkan time ("this is not Japan" as Faruk pointed out to me) and still Nina and Faruk met me with a really warm welcome and insisted that I joined them in their cozy garden for a beer and a chat. This warm hospitality continued throughout my four night stay and on the last night Nina even cooked a tasty vegetarian meal for me. I've stayed in a lot of places around the world and met some really nice and hospitable hosts but the way Nina and Faruk makes you feel that you're a close friend visiting, and not just a tourist that they need to accommodate because it's their job, is something very special. And on top of that the room I stayed in was really big, nice, comfortable and really good value for the price I payed. If I ever come back to Sarajevo I would definitely choose to stay there again.

This is a cosy property in a great location a short walk from Sarajevo old town. It is a traditional Bosnian home and it is clear that a lot of love has been put into it. There is a lot of artwork and trinkets, and the garden is beautiful. Nina and Faruk are fantastic hosts- friendly, warm, welcoming and very helpful. It was great talking to them both, they made me coffee and even called me a taxi when it was time for me to leave. Great people and a great property!

Nina and Faruk are two of the most amazing hosts you could experience. They bring new meaning to the phrase, "Enter as strangers, return as friends". This is more than a stay. It is a highly recommended experience during your trip in Sarajevo! PS- Nina cooked amazing home-style meals for me. I am already planning my return stay!

I loved my stay and even stayed an extra night. Faruk and Nina's welcome was incredible. Warm, kind, and caring people! I had the chance to taste Nina's cuisine, a real treat! I highly recommend this place!

Staying here felt like being with family—Farook and Nina’s hospitality was beyond anything I expected. They constantly checked on me, made sure I had food and coffee, and often invited me to sit with them, share stories, and enjoy warm conversations. Farook told me so much about Sarajevo’s history—it was like a personal tour wrapped in kindness. Nina’s gentle care and attention made me feel safe, valued, and truly at home. The garden was a little paradise; every morning I opened the door to a huge rose plant in full bloom, and that simple beauty made my day. The location was also perfect—just near the Old Town, with most attractions within walking distance. What touched me the most was how I arrived as a guest but left feeling like part of their family. Every corner of the house radiates warmth, peace, and authenticity. This place has a soul—and so do the people in it. I’ve stayed in many places across the world, but this one was truly outstanding—I never expected it to be this good. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish, and I can’t wait to come back one day.

Everything was amazing

First of all, we would like to thank Faruk and Nina for everything. We stayed for 1 night with my wife and they hosted us so well that I can't explain. I felt like I had come to my own house, not on vacation. There were a lot of snacks and drinks for us in the kitchen. Every facility is available in the kitchen. The house is very clean. 10 minutes on foot to the center in terms of location. You can leave the car and walk everywhere. We will definitely come back.

Very cozy little apartment, with a beautiful garden. But the most valuable part of it are the owners, Faruk and Nina. They are such a wonderful people. Always willing to help, to feed you and to have a little chat 🙂

Definitely the best place i have ever stayed in Sarajevo. 5min walk from city, car can park without any hassle. The owners are fantastic, treated me more as a friend than a guest, i even got beer and dinner. Can’t get better than that.

Staying at Nina and Faruk's BnB was one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Sarajevo. The location is truly ideal — just a 10-minute walk from the bustling city center, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat in the countryside. Their beautiful garden is a haven of calm and nature, lovingly cared for by the hosts. What truly made the experience special was the way I was welcomed — more as a member of the family than a guest. Nina and Faruk are warm, open-hearted, and full of fascinating stories about Sarajevo and their own lives. I learned so much through our conversations, and their hospitality was genuine and generous in every way. A special mention goes to Nina’s cooking — absolutely delicious! Every meal felt like it was prepared with care and tradition, a true taste of Bosnian home cuisine. And of course, I can't forget Sugar, their charming cat. We fell in love with each other instantly — she made the garden feel even more like home. If you're looking for a quiet, authentic, and heartwarming experience in Sarajevo, I can't recommend this place enough.

Nina and Faruk are really amazing. Their house is more than just an accomodation, it is a full experience. They like to make their guests feel comfortable and establish a connection with them, sharing food, coffee, and nice talks about cultural differences and many other topics. I knew a lot about Bosnian culture, Sarajevo music history, and got travel information very detailed based on what I liked more to visit during my short stay. The house is very comfortable and cozy, it’s a nice view on the mountain but few minutes to city center, very easy to reach. The garden is beautiful for relaxing. Nina is an excellent cook and cooked for me delicious Bosnian dinners. I would like stay more and it was sad to come back home, but I will come back for sure!

Nina and Faruk are by far the best hosts I have ever had through Booking. I was aware of the excellent reviews when I made my reservation, but I was speechless when I realized the whole experience was turning out to be even better than expected. They are wonderful people who make you feel at home from the very beginning. They are smart, creative and warm. The kind of people you want to become friends with right away. The room was huge, clean and had everything you need. Nina offered her famous chicken soup for dinner (free of charge), and Faruk was ready with Bosnian coffee and biscuits for breakfast, the following morning. The place is very close to the old town. You can also enjoy the garden inside the facilities and, if you like pets, you will certainly be happy to meet their kitties outside the house. This is the first place I would be interested in staying in, next time I go to Sarajevo.

When I booked their place for a three-night stay on Booking.com, it was a random choice—I didn’t even check the reviews. But from the moment Nina welcomed me into their home, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. Faruk and Nina are the embodiment of warm Bosnian hospitality—true ambassadors of their country. Staying with them felt less like a typical guest experience and more like visiting long-lost family. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The house was impeccably clean, and despite dinner not being included in the package, Nina lovingly prepared meals for me every night. Meanwhile, Faruk delighted me with his wonderful selection of drinks, making every evening feel special. Beyond their hospitality, they enriched my stay with valuable travel tips and deep conversations about Bosnian society, culture, and history. The location of their home is also unbeatable—just a five-minute walk from the Old Town, with all the amenities you could need close by. Whether it's cafes, shops, or public transport, everything is within easy reach, making it the perfect base for exploring Sarajevo. By the time I left, it felt as though my family had grown, with a new brother and sister in Sarajevo. Before this trip, I had never met anyone from Bosnia. Now, I can’t imagine returning to Sarajevo and staying anywhere else. No hotel or facility could ever replace the warmth, generosity, and genuine connection I found with Faruk and Nina.
