How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe staff - very friendly and welcoming The breakfast - great variety and selection, very tasty. Free parking, which was amazing when in such a busy city. The views. I was lucky enough to be given a corner room with wrap around balcony, the views were stunning. The location.
All very minor: WiFi didn’t seem to reach the room I was in. The TV only received signal for one channel and without the internet connection the streaming services weren’t usable. Could have done with a bigger shower head.

Verified reviewFacility is clean, new and tight.
Bed is not comfortable. far and hard to walke to Mostar bridge, eather you have to go steep down or climp up on more than 1.2 km of road. Not realy near city center, it says it is 800m from city center but reality the are talking about the borderline of city center not the real attractions in Mostar.

Verified reviewFirst time traveller to mostar. This hotel far exceeded my expectations. Excellent location within walking distance of all the attractions and rich in history. The hotel is situated on a mountain and the views from our balcony were spectacular. Staff were exceptional. Polite and very helpful. Special thanks to the manger who went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. Perfect hotel for your stay in Mostar.
I was happy with everything

Verified reviewThe staff were very helpful and friendly. The air conditioning was broken in our room. They were trying get it fixed. The manager arranged for us to have another room on the second day and got our bags moved to it. He agreed to a discount for that night. The pool and spa facilities are great. We had them to ourselves for a while in the afternoon. The loungers were comfortable and you can order food and drinks to the pool area. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was great in our second room. It is quiet and a fantastic location very close to the old town. 5-10 min walk. The breakfast was good with a good range of food. This was included in the price. We have based our review scores on the second night stay in the air conditioned room. Communication before our stay was very good. We would definitely recommend and stay again if in Mostar.
The air conditioning was broken when we arrived but we weren't told as they were trying to fix it. We were trying to get it working in our room and it was so hot 32 degrees! We had a very uncomfortable night with very little sleep. It was horrible getting ready in that heat. We had been given the wrong room which didn't have enough beds in. We had to make our youngest son a bed out of the chairs and ask for sheets. We then had to pack up all of our things to move rooms. The shower was going off in the first room but did get sorted. There wasn't much room to put toiletries etc for 4 people in the triple room bathroom. Both showers leak through to the bathroom. There were no tissues, cotton pads etc provided. 10 euros to get to the bus station using the hotel but 3 by local taxi. Tip: ask Reception before sorting the safe.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was good and the pool was nice
Hotel doesn't provide iron nor can you use your own and there also is no kettle in the room. The shower didn't stay straight and first time when used the water didn't drain so had to speak to reception, this was the case in both rooms that was booked. The men's shower in the pool changing area did not work. The TV had no digital channels and there was only one single blanket for a double room and the triple room we had and apparently the hotel has no others so hotel provided with a few bedsheets instead

Verified reviewThe staff are friendly.
Be careful: some foods require an extra fee, and staff may insist on payment for ice coffee or other items. It's very hard to breathe inside the swimming pool area, which is enclosed and filled with chlorine. Also, the breakfast is awful.

The room was not very clean and the bathroom had an unpleasant odour.

Verified reviewThe bed was quite comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. The spa offer was okay- two saunas and a pool (hammam was not working). The room was spacious, but it lacked some amenities the other rooms had. Overall a nice experience. I would come back again.
For me it wasn’t a problem, but the steep incline towards the hotel is not accessible to older people or someone with disabilities- just a note to keep in mind when booking.
