How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel was located 1 min walk from the old bazar area. My room was in third floor and there was a little balcony with a mountain and roof views. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. I liked it so much that I just wanted to stay there at evenings and eat my dinner in the balcony rather than in restaurants. 😊 Service was also very friendly. I could definitely stay again.
The reception smelled a bit of tobacco every now and then (my room was fresh though!)

Verified reviewThe room was so clean and big. Also the bathroom was so clean and comfortable. The girl on the reception “Eman” so friendly and kind. We enjoy.
We arrived with a car, there wasn’t parking. Also the public parking was full. We have checked twice when we arrive and twice lately at the night also was full. So we parked near the door of the hotel, but the manager text us to move the car because the neighborhood will call the police. Then we have met spontaneous one the neighborhoods and asked him to parked there just for this night because all the public parking was full.

Verified reviewWe were a family of 6 and booked 3 rooms for our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, just across the road from the Old Town, making it perfect for exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay stressful. There is no dedicated car park, and nearby parking was extremely expensive, we paid around €40 for less than 12 hours. The hotel does have limited parking spaces, but all were fully booked. On our first day, the water was off due to service repairs, which caused the rooms to smell unpleasant. The second day brought an electricity outage, leaving us with no AC and no WiFi, very frustrating in the summer heat. While the rooms were a good size and reasonably clean, the stained carpets looked quite unhygienic. Replacing them with flooring would make a big difference. Another inconvenience was the payment process, after check-out, we received a message requesting payment, even though we had booked via Booking.com. We had to send card details manually, which felt disorganised and insecure. The hotel did offer a €30 discount for the water and electricity issues, which was appreciated, but overall the car park problem and service disruptions made our stay less enjoyable. Without these issues, it could have been a much more positive experience.

Verified reviewConvenient location to the main old town.
Carpet was very marked, needed a good clean and shampoo. A transfer was arranged with the hotel to pick us up at the train station but they never arrived. Our train was late, and apparently the driver had another job and left! Maybe should have sent a replacement driver. Stress we didn't need.

Verified reviewGreat location for access to Sarajevo Old Town. Semi-modern property with large size rooms and bathrooms.
Only criticism is reception closes relatively early for a hotel, so as a tourist if you need any info / assistance this is not available.

Verified reviewEverything about this hotel is wonderful~ I stayed with my family in the room# 202 for three nights~ The hotel is quiet and beautiful. The furniture is modern, attractive and harmonious. The room and bathroom are very clean and well-organized~ The hotel has everything a tourist needs~ Hot water is available without interruption~ The beds are very comfortable and helps you fall asleep easily and quickly~ The air conditioning is excellent~ The Wi-Fi is sometimes weak for a short time, but most of the time it's strong~ The hotel's location is excellent, close to the market, shops, restaurants, and everything else is available and close by~ You can enjoy the place by walking and visit many tourist attractions, markets, restaurants, and all kinds of shops. ~ Thank you to the lovely, cheerful receptionist for her warm welcome and for allowing us to check in four hours early. This gave me a little breathing space after the stress of traveling~ My sincere thanks and appreciation to the reception lady~ Sometimes, especially at night, there are no staff members at the hotel. However, entering the hotel is very easy by following the instructions sent by the hotel management~ You can communicate with the staff and management remotely via the camera~
Everthing was great The elevator is small and narrow but that is not a problem at all ~

Verified reviewThe location is fantastic. You can’t get much closer to the old town center. The hotel is clean and comfortable. A/C works great.
While the staff responds quickly to WhatsApp and are friendly in person, they leave at 3pm. While not an issue for us, if you’re looking for a full service front desk this isn’t the place for you.
