Great location across the road from the Atlantic Ocean. Fitz was very friendly and accommodating. Being out of season it was very quiet but lovely. Dina’s was a great restaurant, very close to Rest Haven. Apparently Mick Jagger may have stayed here?!?!

The property looks exactly like the photos and was the perfect size for two people for two nights. There was no hot water but due to the temperature outside this was a blessing in disguise! It was great to see the east side of Barbados outside of the touristy areas however the beach by the property is not safe for swimming due to large waves which we fell asleep listening to. Bathsheba is very quiet and finding somewhere to eat in the evening was a bit difficult as most places shut at 4pm. Our host Fitz was very welcoming and friendly and was happy to give us advice of where we could find food! He was also very flexible with checkout.

You will see from other reviews that the accommodation is very basic and could do with updating. However it was very clean and the location cannot be beaten. Very quiet and well connected by bus to other parts of the island and close to some wonderful gardens. We loved sitting on the terrace watching the young dudes surfing.

I was a bit nervous about mosquitos in the night and used the mossie net provided over the bed but there appeared not to be any.The second night i did without and didnt get bitten once

A small investment in kitchen equipment and crockery would vastly improve the experience.

The peace of the area especially in the mornings and afternoons (when the tour buses weren’t there) The proximity to the long windswept beach, waves crashing down and watching the surfers.

The location is second to none, we spent our evenings sitting on the porch looking out over the ocean drinking many a rum punch. Sparsely furnished and in need of modernization but if like us you can overlook these points, you will have a wonderful time. Bathsheba is a small village with few restaurants but with all the feel of the Caribbean. If you want something away from the busy resorts this is the place for you.

Fitz is in the Process of upgrading his cottages. The Cottage we stayed in was still in need of modernisation & upgrading.

Fabulous Location, Stunning Views, Typical Bajan 1960 style Apartment. Fitz is extremely helpful and very comfortable to be around. Nothing was too much trouble

The kitchen area would benefit from refurbishment.

We loved the location of the property. We loved the comfy seats on the porch and the bed was comfy. The accommodation is of the older authentic style. Although the area is quiet there are good bus links. There are a few well priced local restaurants in the area. The one on the sea front is expensive!

Fitz was very friendly and always available to help. The location is the real selling point - we stayed in Matilda which was on the front overlooking the sea. There are a few bars and cafes in the village but no shop so take anything you need. Regular busses pass through going where you want.
