How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLittle Good Harbour is a beautiful gem in northern Barbados about 45 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown and the southern beaches. The facilities are gorgeous, with two pools and a restaurant directly on the water. Our unit was immaculately clean and comfortable. The Fish Pot restaurant is delicious. The proximity to nearby beaches, attractions, and Speightstown is perfect - all without getting stuck in traffic! I would absolutely stay here again.
Two things to note: 1. The bedroom in our unit was air conditioned, but the unit as a whole is not. That being said, even in July, the breeze was sufficient to keep us comfortable. Just be aware and don't freak out if you walk in to a warm unit. 2. The "beach" at the property is tiny and there's little room for swimming. You'll need water shoes due to the rocks and dead coral. Fortunately, Heywoods Beach is just down the road if you need a little more space.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing to stay with us at Little Good Harbour. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the peaceful charm of our location, the comfort of your unit, and your dining experience at The Fish Pot. It’s great to know the breeze kept you comfortable, even in July, and we appreciate your thoughtful tips for future guests about the air-conditioning and beach access. We agree that Heywoods Beach is a fantastic nearby option for a wider stretch of sand and swimming. We truly look forward to welcoming you back for another relaxing stay in the future! Warm Regards Javon Griffith

Verified reviewGorgeous seaside location, with bags of Caribbean character and superb, friendly service. Stayed two nights in the big 2-bed waterfront apartment above the Fish Pot (amazing spot) and one night in Suite B2 a little double decker with a 4-poster bed (with welcome mosquito netting) and a sea view. All accomm are well equipped with White Company bathroom amenities. Met up with friends at Cobbler’s Cove, ar Local & Co and Baia in Speightstown and spent a fun day at Sea Shed / Salt Bar, all very close by.
Nothing.
Thank you so much for your glowing review! We’re delighted you enjoyed our seaside location, the character of our property, and the friendly service from our team. It’s wonderful to hear you experienced both the spacious Ocean Fort Suite above The Fish Pot and Suite B2, and that you appreciated the little touches like the mosquito netting and White Company amenities. We’re also glad you made the most of the nearby dining and beach spots—there’s certainly no shortage of great experiences in the area. It was a pleasure to host you, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another Caribbean escape. Warm Regards Javon Griffith

Verified reviewWe had the most relaxing stay at LGH. Our room (garden one bed, which is more like a little house with a great little kitchen/seating area downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs) was perfect. The bedroom was cool and bright with an unexpected view of the sea from the terrace. It’s true that the beach suffered in the last hurricane and is not what it was (it may of course come back in time as before), but the sea is still easily accessible and wonderful. An excellent pool also helps. The staff are exceptional - super friendly, thoughtful and helpful across the board. The whole vibe of the place is positive, informal and relaxed. Fish Pot great as always. Walkable to Speightstown and some good local places even closer. We’ll be back.

Hello David, Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had difficulties with you television. It is however functioning as normal. We would have been happy to show this to you. Verified reviewLittle Good Harbour (LGH) offers a quiet retreat of self-catering properties in the north of the island. Many are privately owned run & managed by the LGH team therefore properties are of a same look and style. We were delighted with ours and even had a sea-view even though we were booked to a 'garden room.', The one bedroom and bathroom was well appointed. The oven, extractor and units were of need of replacement but worked adequately. The top of the extractor was dirty. There are two pools areas one more suited to small children than the other. The big sell point of LGH is that it is directly opposite the Fish Pot - one of the best restaurants on the island that doesn't come with a hefty price tag. We didn't opt for a car but taxis are plentiful as are buses. Reception staff were there on hand to help in any way and we called on them to stock our fridge prior to arrival (not cheap). The check-out time of midday was a distinct bonus.
