The location is fantastic. Good continental breakfast.

We were in a room overlooking the street which meant it was very noisy.

The staff were wonderful - very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and served in the lovely courtyard in the center of the building. The hotel is in a great location. I would stay there again.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Bruges- really comfortable beds & pleasant room with a great bathroom & shower!

No air conditioning however there was a fan in the room - continental breakfast choice was limited - extremely slow self service coffee machine & no toaster machine.

Family owned hotel with excellent location! We got superb service and even got a breakfast bag when we announced that we planned to leave early in the morning! Public parking in a supervised garage only 30 meters away! Nice breakfast included with freshly pressed oranges served at the table! The hotel is located 2 min walk from the Market. Will book again if we go back to Brugge!

Very close to Market Square, great location! Owner/Operator was so friendly and welcoming. She gave us so many helpful tips, since it was our first time in the village. Place was clean and breakfast was great. We would have stayed another night if there was availability.

The staff was excellent, warm and welcoming. Extra effort was made to book our group together; we had a total of three rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast included fresh squeezed orange juice. And the location could not be better. We were introduced to all the things to do in the area and given a coupon type book, upon check-in. This location is walking distance to everything. We could easily park our large car in a nearby underground parking garage.

    Property response:

Good evening Madam, Thank you for the nice 9. It was wonderful to welcome you. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again sometimes. Best regards, Family De Muynck

The room was very comfortable, at the back so quieter, good size with nice large bathroom

There were a few things - consumables in the room were not replaced and we ran out of milk for the tea, tea bags, water wasn't replaced. When we asked we were told that other nations have to pay for it - not sure on that relevance seeing as were British and that would not be the case in any UK hotel! At 180 Euros a night it was quite stingy. That stinginess applied to the breakfast too. The croissants ran out on day one, only saw two mini croissants on day two, and there was only available on day three between all the guests! It seemed only the bare minimum was being supplied of anything. Finally we had the fan on a lot as it was hot weather, but clumps of fluff were then blowing around on the floor implying that the room was not as clean as it should be! Also we cam back to our room one afternoon and the door was not locked - when we mentioned it to the lady owner she said that was not good, but it was the last day (which of course had no relevance to the bedroom door being left unlocked!), as the hotel was closing for a holiday break the next day!

    Property response:

Strangely enough we had a 10 on the same reservation name!? It seems that you will be coming back or is it your friends !? You were extremely but than extremely happy with all the info and the intro we offered for you to make it a wonderful holiday! Rooms were ready as you were earlier than expected. Perfect was the words you used Sir! It was wonderful to be able to help you with the organisation of restaurants and the Damme afternoon. It was wonderful to offer you the same table in the garden reserved for your group every day. We make lots of cookies and croissants at about 60 to 80 pieces every day ! When guests take a lot of time at breakfast that means to us that you enjoyed breakfast in full! The evening before departure there was a demand for extra milk which was offered in the room ( in the cups I put at about 8 ) and as for your lady she was offered to take more tea from the breakfast area incl herbe tea . Just like other guests ! Tea facilities are still inclusice just like our breakfast ! We are one of the few hotels left ! The ventilation being not used for some time can give some dust! Regarding the door.. I asked the staff and the answer was negative. So we can only do our best for all and everybody .. but then we are only human... I think that is a song!? So thank you for the 8 .. and a thousand thanks for the 10 ! We wish you all all the best! Family De Muynck

The owner, Veronique, was the perfect host. We knew we'd be arriving a little late in Bruges but she was so accommodating and helpful when we did finally get there. As requested, she made sure we had two rooms close together and they were very clean and comfortable. She gave us loads of information to help us find our way around Bruges, which was great. Breakfast was amazing and Veronique was always close by to ensure we had everything we needed. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Bruges and we would definitely stay there again.

    Not much unfortunately.

The only joy (alegria) of this hotel was leaving it. I've been to Bruges twice before and have always had a great stay, but this time it went very wrong. I know the hostess will argue against it just as she has every time someone gives a low rating. I'll include some photos for you to see and evaluate for yourself. - The receptionist at arrival left me with the feeling that I was bothering her. Maybe because I arrived two minutes before check-in time? Certainly not the kind of warm welcome that would be expected. - The receptionist made it clear that we had booked the cheapest room in the hotel (Euro 184) but that she kindly upgraded us to a “wonderful” room. - Unfortunately, this “wonderful” room has a cold porcelain floor, lacked charm and attention to detail, and the cleanliness was questionable. If this was an upgrade, what would the regular room look like ?? - There is no place to sit outside the room. - The towel/clothes dryer does not work. - We found that after 27 days traveling through the Netherlands, Belgium and France, this was by far the worst experience! The othe places we visitrd received ratings between 9 and 10. - Finally, I am of the opinion that people who, without criteria, give a good or excellent rating when objectively it is not deserved, do a disservice to other travelers and even to the hotel owner himself, who loses the opportunity to improve.

    Property response:

Hello Sir, Dear lady, Kindly notice you booked one night type of room small double. Arrived with lots of luggage and very very tired . Arrival was late morning and not in between 13 and 20 hours. We do our best and offered you a room that was ready an XL room and upgrade at the same price so you could rest . The lady was very happy with her room ! The floors are natural stone floors with patina .. no carpets ! You were not happy at arrival as tired something we understand . The offered room had an outside area ( terrace ) and the option to put the central heating high.. it was 28°C when we came into the room to clean! If the heating in the bathroom is part of the central heating when turning on it works perfectly! Our technician checked. So sorry it looked like your lady staying longer at breakfast was very happy with her stay.. as she smiled and thanked .. a pitty ! You had the option to have breakfast in the garden but prefered gardenview. . We wish you all the best ! Family De Muynck
