Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe room was really tiny and there was no storage space / wardrobe, so we had to jump over our suitcases opened on the floor. The closed window was still letting through a lot of noise from the outside (neighbours, distant traffic). The sliding door to the small (but sufficient) bathroom kept opening, not sure if it was broken or we just did not solve the mystery of its mechanism :)
Clean and sufficient for a one night stay. The hotel is situated on a pleasantly calm dead-end street, on the outskirts of the city, with a bus stop connection to the center very close by. Ideal to leave the car here and travel to the center by public transport. The parking is in the backyard of the house, not too large, but we did not have a problem finding a spot there. We never met any of the staff personally, everything was communicated via messages, and in them they were very helpful albeit quite brief (in English).

LuxembourgThe first room we got had poop in the toilet, and the flush didn’t work. We called the front desk, and they quickly gave us a new room, which we appreciated. But the new room also had problems. The toilet made a loud noise all night, which made it hard to sleep. Also, the pillows were so big that they were really uncomfortable. The staff was helpful, but the room issues were frustrating.
It’s really close to the ING Arena. Perfect if you’re going to a concert. The staff is friendly.

The staff are nice. When vending machine did not dispense drinks for the 2 euro I inserted, they gave me a drink and change when I explained to them as nobody was there when it happened. They were supportive to borrow me a charger to charge my phone as mine was not compatible with the socket outlet (Europe standard). WIFI is good

GreeceThe room door was poor quality and incredibly close to the next rooms door. There was no desk or coffee amendment as there are in other places in this price category. The bathroom door was broken as was the shower door. The faucet on the sink was not fixed well at all and almost came off. The pillows were extremely big and hard, good for laying back on them but very uncomfortable when sleeping.
The bed was big and comfortable.

BelgiumAfter check-in, there was no personnel on site for the rest of my stay. This wasn't a really big deal for me, but I had not received any information about how check-out worked, so I wasn't sure if I needed to do anything or not. The sheets in my room had some small brown spots on them, and at times, the WiFi could be a little spotty.
The hotel is very close to the ING Arena ("Paleis 12"), so it's ideal to stay the night after a concert there. The street the hotel is located in was pretty quiet as well, so you can rest up. My room was generally clean and pretty spacious.

AustriaInformation was sent for self check in which was fine. However, at 09.30 pm there was a knock at the door. When we asked "Hello" no one answered. This game continued for about 15mins until the person knocking on the door replied that our documents where required and insisted that the matter could not wait until the next morning. Knocking at the hotel room door without identifying oneself or mentioning what the interruption is in regard to is an absolute No-Go to me.
Hotel situated just a few minutes drive from the Atomium. Parking spaces available at the hotel.

NetherlandsThe bathroom was tiny, especially for a deluxe room. The door to the bathroom was a sliding door, that if not close properly just opens itself. The shower is just mini and the mirror was very low. I'm 1.80m and had to sit on the bed outside of the bathroom to see myself. The hairdryer was also not working, though this might've been bad luck on my part. The smoke detector didn't have a cover anymore and wasn't flush against the ceiling. Lastly the bed was hard. I do like harder mattresses and pillows but this was a bit too much. Saturday nights usually are more expensive than other nights, but paying €160,- for one night for a supposedly deluxe room is definitely not worth it even for its location.
The location was great when you go to a concert as the ING Arena is very close by. The main attractions of Brussel are also close by. Checking in and out was very easy, just walk in and walk out. 0 contact with personal, though it feels very weird.

AustraliaA smooth self checkin and we had a comfortable sleep. The room was on the smaller side so better for a short term stay. The bathroom/toilet is also close to the bed so not much privacy between the rooms. Overall a good stop over for our night in Brussels and easy enough to get to the town centre

MalaysiaEverything was terrible. This hotel is a complete mess — no reception, Whatsapp messages never get a reply. The bathroom basin was clogged, so when I washed my face or brushed my teeth, the water nearly flooded the room. I booked 6 nights at this hotel. Since I would be arriving in Brussels early the next morning, i booked the room a day in advance so I wouldn’t have to wait to check in. I sent a message to the number provided to let them know my arrival details — but received no response. When I finally arrived at the hotel the next day, they responded and told me check-in was at 3 PM. I explained that my booking started the day before and fortunately, they checked and eventually gave me the door code. The real nightmare began after that. The door code they gave me was valid for only one day. The next morning, my code didn’t work. I had to approach the housekeeping staff, and luckily one of them was kind enough to contact someone for me so I could get a new code. But the same thing happened again the following day, my code stopped working. And this time, my Whatsapp messages to the hotel went completely unanswered. Imagine if I had been outside and unable to get back into my own room! The only good part of my stay was the housekeeping guy — he truly went out of his way to help me get a valid code for my entire stay, unlike the official Whatsapp contact who barely responds at all.
NONE.

NetherlandsPillow was horrible, there was no one at the reception. It’s self service. I asked for the invoice over 20 times via WhatsApp and Booking.Com and still haven’t gotten it. Area is not very nice. Room was fairly clean tho, but wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there. I went during a conference and paid 550 for 2 nights. Ridiculous.
