Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSteep steps to mezzanine, though had expected this. Bathroom a little tired but I’m sure as the hosts make improvements over time, this will be remedied.
Friendly hosts, amazing breakfast with lots of home made jams, yoghurts and more.

Mélanie was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a duplex room which was a good size for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Comfy beds, great shower. Kitchenette had everything we needed to cook our evening meal. The communal areas for all guests looked good. We only stayed one night but would happily stay here again.

NetherlandsClimbing to the sleeping area in the attic was unsafe for our toddlers, so they had to sleep in the lower, main area (which meant that once they went to sleep - we couldn't use the room freely).
Beautiful location and super friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was superb! And views from the back yard were wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing at the front yard with our kids. Short distance from Dinant and Furfooz nature reserve - traveling with a car was easy and convenient.

United KingdomNothing to dislike just a warning that there a few stairs which might be hard if you have mobility issues
We had such a lovely welcome. The breakfast is a Wow moment out on the garden with amazing home produce. We arrived and had our picnic at their tables outside. A lovely walk around the area. The guests have use of the little kitchenette which was very useful. Unfortunately we did not have an evening meal there but if it's anything like the breakfast I think it would be special.

IndiaIt is actually a bit remote from Dinant and if you do not have your own transport and short on time, , it striffles your Dinant attractions a bit. Although Melanie is always helping with her pick and drops from the city at a very reasonable rate, she has her own constraints as she has to run the set up and cater to the on premises guests as well.
Melanie is a great host, took extremely good care of us. The place in the countyside itself is an experience and value for money. We stayed at a duplex which was spacious, airy and clean, with a fully functional kitchen and bathroom. Overall, this was a great experience for us.

GermanyThe breakfast was perfect. Homemade marmelades and cookies, fresh orange juice and as much coffee as you want. The hosts were very friendly and had always a smile on her face. If you don´t know where to go for Dinner in the Dinant area, ask them. They have some really good recommendations! The village is beautyful and very quiet. Hiking from the Gite to the river Lesse is an adventure you should not miss. We´ll be back!

BelgiumVery friendly staff who gave clear instructions for check-in and car parking. Location was up in the hills, surrounded by nature so very nice and peaceful. Also near scenic spots such as Château de Vêves, and lots of nature around for hikes/walks. We enjoyed our room, which had a comfortable rustic feeling, but was clean and had modern bathroom facilities. Breakfast was great, freshly-prepared with a generous assortiment of food and homemade jams. Happy to return to this place and recommend it :)

BelgiumThe walls are a little thin so we could easily hear the people in the next room. But it's not like anyone was partying, so we still got a good night's sleep.
We wanted a base to go walking nearby and this was just perfect. We were warmly welcomed and our room was cosy and quirky and well equipped. We could book our breakfast the night before and there was a good choice and we very much enjoyed it. Very much recommend the scrambled eggs!

BelgiumThere is only one gîte without stairs, you can ask for it when you book. (This is normally not a problem for us, but it was difficult to carry our short-legged dog up and down the steep staircase.)
Fantastic breakfast with many choices and great coffee too. The nice couple who runs the place did everything they could to accommodate our needs. Our dog was also very welcome. We will be back for sure.

GermanySome of the rooms are only approachable by a steep staircase - this would not be suitable for the infirm or after too much wine...
Friendly and attentive hosts. Very comfortable beds, absolutely quiet. An excellent breakfast cooked to order with fresh orange juice. Fresh fruit salad, local yoghurt, wonderful baguette, home-made jams. We had asked for a meal for our arrival and this was great home cooking. Fairly wide range of wine and drinks available.
