How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing to complain about.
We booked Maison very late due to a dramatic change in plans, but we had a wonderful time. It’s very nearby the best park in Brussels.

Close to EU-Buildings, Many Restaurants! Perfect for traveling to EU-Meetings! If I have to work in Brusslees again, i will try to sleep there!

Toaster would be nice to have & black out curtains due to street lamp at night. Windows were very dirty. There was a leaky faucet in the washroom. Bus stop noise was quite loud.
The place is cute and cozy. I had to pay for WIFI until I got the code. It would have been nice to get that with the booking instructions. It is very bright at night due to a nearby street light - glad I had an eye mask - and also during the day very bright and sunny. I was glad to have a fridge and kettle. I would have appreciated a toaster to prep my breakfast.

Contact with the host is via messaging entirely - I find this a bit impersonal, others might not mind. I'd have preferred to receive an invoice at the time of departure but it did arrive by email that evening - that was the main thing.
Good location, great facilities in room, that was helpful. Clear instructions on how to get in on arrival.

More coffee capsules would have been appreciated and more towels.
The apartment was very clean and spacious. We were offered a room which was available sooner than the official check in hour. This was very helpful for us. Warm inside. We were told about the kitchen sink not working. The host was very prompt with the needed information.

Very basic, got all the necessary amenities but not more than that. If you want a super clean and tidy place this is maybe not for you.
Great location, very easy to get to the center and back. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great service by Alexandrina! She's always available and helpful.

It wouldhave been nice to be warned about the kitchen sink, but it was not actually a problem
The duplex has a steep stair, and is on the top floor, so one gets a bit of exercise. The kitchen did not have a functioning sink, which seemed to be under installation, but the bathroom was perfect - with a tub !

Worth being aware this is a tall narrow townhouse with corresponding stairs.
Very handy location. I particularly enjoyed the comfy bed and the corner bath. Kettle and fridge were essential. Alexandrina was very helpful.

The apartment is fairly dates and the building not new so don't expect super modern facilities or equipment.
I stayed in the appartment on the ground floor (last minute upgrade offered by the property) which was great as I traveled with a fairly large dog. It was spacious and quiet. Location is great with public transport options in walking distance (under 30 minutes to get into the city centre). There is also a big park close by (Parc du Cinquantenaire) which is beautiful and dogs get to run free and play. WiFi worked great both for work video calls and watching movies.

There is no lift so don't bring too much luggage.
The location is great. Close to Place Jourdan as well as convenience stores, parks, restaurants and more.

The shower was a bit weak
Very check in and check out, I received instructions to get in, room and key waiting for me, and just left the next day. Very nice and clean, there was a fridge, boiler and basic kitchen plates and cutlery

Some of the bathroom details were to be renewed. Little space also for a short person.

A bit far from the center but still well connected
Comfortable room with high ceilings, quiet and with a view on the internal garden. Microwave and boiler for tea and food if needed are appreciated.
