Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyRoom and bathroom were not clean. Numerous stings all over the body after one night from insects (fleas or bed bugs) in bed.
It is a very stylish house, in a street with great houses in a quiet location. Nearby you will find restaurants and cafes. The city center can be reached by e-bikes and scooters, tram or regional train from Berchem station.

United StatesCheck in process is a little convoluted and no staff person at all. Rooms aren't numbered (instructions are given based on descriptions) so you walk around putting your key in available doors. Hotel isn't disability friendly.
Hotel looks like something out of a Harry Potter book so great atmosphere, room was lovely, and the building was amazing. Street parking is available. Location is nice and safe.

RussiaHowever, we would have appreciated more light and cleanliness in the room. It was odd to find completely dirty glasses in such a baronial house, and the bedding didn’t inspire full confidence either. As other guests mentioned, it was confusing to figure out which room was ours — we had to try several doors with our key. That process could definitely be simplified.
The mansion is stunning both outside and inside, located in the Zurenborg district where every house is worth admiring. The building has an elevator, which is helpful if you're unable to use the historic spiral staircase. The room was spacious, with en-suite facilities, and we had garden-facing windows — simply lovely, with a sweet welcome of Belgian chocolates. Instead of using the overly expensive nearby parking, we opted for a P+R for €1 (there are several in the city), from which you can reach the center by tram.

United KingdomI think it was much hotter during our stay than normal and as a result we suffered with mosquitoes. Once we realised they were around, we kept the windows closed.
The property was beautiful and in a stunning location. I would urge other travellers to check out the surrounding roads with equally beautiful houses. The self check in was efficient and communicated very well by the host. We followed their suggestion to park at Burchem Station and this proved to be very close to both the property and a tram station. We loved the apartment, and couldn't believe how lucky we were to spend time here. The breakfast was enormous and varied. What a find!

BelgiumIn view of all the positive comments, we thought we had found a beautiful little gem, but were very disappointed with our stay. We had chosen this accommodation for its easy access via a key in an outside lock-up. What a surprise when no key was found in the lock-up! After numerous calls and texts to the owner, we finally received a reply to the effect that, as we had not followed up a call that afternoon, he no longer thought we were coming. We were rehoused last minute in a flat that was under renovation, full of dust, not cleaned and with no word of apology or refund offered for the inconvenience. We also noticed that the owner had simply cancelled our booking at around 2am, thus avoiding any possible complaint to booking. This behavior is just shocking and disrespectful !

BelgiumI stayed only one night at B&B Baron Osy, the accommodation is located very close to the Antwerpen Berchem train station, in a wonderful neighborhood of beautiful houses with good connection to central Antwerp. The house itself is gorgeous and the room is nicely decorated and equipped with a garden view. The communication with the host was good and the check in instructions were clear.
