Quirky indeed but pleasant and very friendly.

Fabulous quirky property with a wonderful owner who went out of her way to ensure my short visit was memorable

Most of the breakfast food was home-made. Organic food with a focus on sustainability and natural produce. Peaceful, leafy surroundings. Communicative host.

À hidden charming gem in a quiet location. Excellent breakfast including a choice of homemade jams, farm fresh eggs, etc. A lovely outdoor pool in the summer. Overall very friendly , welcoming and fun place to stay.

It was an interesting gothic building. The lady who ran the B&B made the jams, etc. that came with breakfast. There was plenty on offer for breakfast. I didn't get chance to use it, but there is a small swimming pool and various garden games.

The room was quite small.

Great experience! We found the room very clean and comfortable. The owner was awesome. And the breakfast was great, featuring local products. We also did the optional “table d’hôte”, or a 3-course, fixed-price dinner of local dishes with local products. It was fantastic, and I highly recommend taking the dinner, if you can.

Nice historical building, nature and swimming pool

The breakfast was very good and the host very welcoming despite us not speaking any french and she speaking very little English - but it went fine. Everything was clean and tidy. There was quite a lot of outside space that looked nice and had the time and weather allowed we could have enjoyed that.

The place is quite run down, perhaps some will find it charming. The sink in our room was cracked, the wallpaper was peeling off in many places and the bottom of the shower cubicle had a hole, not leaking water but just a very uneven surface to stand on. The bed sheet was terry cloth and very scratchy and we had a poor nights sleep even though the bed itself was fine - the terry cloth issue is of course not necessarily a problem for others. When we left I couldn’t locate the host so left the key in the door of our room - only to get a rather surprising message from the host later telling us it was the first time in 12 years of B&B she’d experienced guests leaving without saying goodbye - I felt really told off and don’t think we’ll be coming back…

The house is a beautiful Manor House, lovingly restored by the wonderful Chantel and her lovely husband. Our room was comfortable, the bed super comfy and the bathroom had an amazing shower. Our room also had a lovely balcony where we were able to sit and relax. We opted for a “Suprise” evening meal and oh my, what an amazing suprise it was. We feasted on a delicious 4 course meal, all cooked with such love and attention to detail, it truly was the very best meal we have eaten! Chantel is charming, friendly hostess. Breakfast was also fabulous. Warm boiled eggs, fresh croissants, homemade preserves, fresh orange juice, fresh coffee, cheeses, cold meats , cereals, yoghurts, fruit, etc etc. we will definitely return.

It was all really good.

Unique and welcoming, Chantal and her family were attentive and accommodating. With notice, we were able to have an evening meal made with locally-sourced produce. Breakfast was continental-style with plenty of choice. This is a quirky B&B that ticks all the boxes for a comfortable stay. Convenient location for the motorway and a bus-trip or short drive into Verviers. Will return if we find ourselves in Belgium again.

The place was completely amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly.

This place is so beautiful and conveniently located and the host went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we felt very well taken care of!
