Too noisy, not particularly clean and the room was basically just a box with a bed in it.

The whole hotel smelled funny, definitely smokers around. We were in the room next to the kitchen and the staff were up partying/chatting in there until 3am. Tbf they did leave when we asked but it was the opposite of the quiet room as you could hear everything through the wall

The location was on the edge of Ghent in an industrial estate, so it was not the sort of place you would want to walk around. The hotel was really tired looking, but refurbishment works were underway, so hopefully this will improve. The ground floor bedroom window had been subject to a forced entry in the past; although it was repaired, this doesn't encourage feelings of security!

Extremely helpful and friendly receptionist, who spoke English. The facilities were basic, but adequate. The room was clean. Great value for money.

Very good hostel, it meets the requirements well, clean place. Location not very close to the center, keep that in mind but for the price it's worth it.

Loud talking in the hallways late at night did not seem to worry the staff.

Located near (semi) highway on the outskirts of Gent was convenient for me; parking full every night but next-door terrain could park the additional cars. Door code instead of a key very useful. Shared showers and toilets clean.

I am not very demanding for a 1 night sleep in a hotel. I just expect a clean, darkened room, parking place, clean bathroom. Have stayed in many similar (standard 3 bed room) hotels in France. But this one, in industrial area outside Gent, is very old and run down, it took ages to checkin (staff was away), not enough parking space. Too warm room, dirty shared shower and toilets. Overpriced for such simple hotel. I will try to avoid next time in Gent.

People smoke inside and this makes the entire corridors inconveniencing to non smokers like me. Shared bathrooms and toilets were also inconveniencing.

Location is literally outside the city. If you want to do sightseeing, getting to the city will take you a minimum of 40 min, including 20 min walk on the road (no side walk for pedestrians). Showers took some time to heat, but they did it’s job in the end

We had to rent a room late at night as we rented an apartment with SmartFlat and they never gave us access (automatic check in). When we arrived, Roland was great with the check in. He go through all the information with us, provided us with a copy of the invoice and the payment cupons and make sure that we had everything. It is a great place to go to sleep.

As said, it was pretty cheap, so i can’t complain to much. But i would be nice if the hotel explained how you have to get to the actual hotel, since we drove 3 times around the area WITH google maps, but couldn’t find it until some factory workers told us which way we had to drive.

A former Formula 1 hotel with a very basic standard, sometimes even below an average hostel: e.g. no toilet seat, no plates, cups or utensils in the kitchen, very dirty towel in the kitchen, frying pan needs replacement immediately. Most of the facilities (e.g. sink and table in the room, toilets and showers) are plastic and after many years they look tired and worn out - the first impression is rather bad, then you get used to it. Also, it would be great if a small breakfast was available, even at an extra cost.

Not much, it only meets the minimum criteria for a hotel: you have a bed that you can sleep on, you have access to bathroom and kitchen (but only between 8:00 and 22:00). Reception open 24h. Quiet inside despite being located in an industrial area.

It is really a place to stay for one night only. For drivers, people going for work. The bathrooms were exeptionaly small and plastic, also the toilets.

It is a fair distance from the centre and stations, although there is a bus service (70/72) and Park and Ride service nearby. One problem on this trip was the unpleasant smell in the room, though I was not in it very much.
