How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt's a very unique experience as I hadn't done glamping before. My favourite part was of course that I could see the stars while lying in bed. There is a light inside to use at night and sockets. There is a fully equipped kitchen and each bubble has it's own toilet & shower and there is a common sink. These are a few meters away from the bubbles. We required a bit later check-in which the host was happy to do for us. She explained us everything very well. Everything was clean and nice. The bed was nice and during our visit the temperature was ok at night. The area is very good and convenient if you have a vehicle to get to Bruges centre or other nearby areas.
It would have been better if there was some space/area to store our clothes etc or at least a rack to hang jackets and a few clothes. We only stayed for one night so it was fine but for longer stays I think it would be annoying. We were very confused as to how we get to the place with a vehicle because we had to take a road that is kind of in a park. It would have been nice if there were instructions sent as a message prior the arrival (we managed to find out by visiting the official website though).

Verified reviewIt's a great experience, particularly with kids. We stayed in the bigger bubble and it was good for 2 adults and 2 children. Beds are warm and confortable. There is a dedicated bathroom per room and kitchen facilities that can be used
The facilities are funcional and clean but still not complete (finishes are needed). Would be a nice touch to have some drinking water/coffee available

Verified reviewBernadette & her team are absolutely lovely. It's a really beautiful little campsite with a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean & we stayed in a bubble which was great fun. The kids played badminton on the lawn, we went for a walk around the lake & took a day trip to the coast at De Halle. We'd love to come back again!
.
Thank you Tracy. Your family is so lovely and Thello already misses Viv :-)

Verified reviewThe idea, nothing more.
The smell inside the "bubble:" made us leave after less than 30 minutes. At least we should have been told about the strong PVC smell. People with allergies/asthma should think twice before getting there. "While PVC has taken the building and construction industry by storm, this material may pose health problems. The abundant use of PVC, especially in heating and cooling applications, has given rise to a new environmental concern called "outgassing." Over time, PVC releases volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that VOCs are a potential cause of health problems ranging from eye, nose, and throat irritations to nausea, fatigue, dizziness, and memory impairments, among others. Long-term exposure to low levels of VOCs in water and air are linked to permanent neurological, liver, and kidney damage and may play a role in reproductive disorders." Be aware of the conditions and the consequences even if the host is trying to reassure you that it is ok. Proper measurements of toxicity should be done there and the customers should be aware of this. I have been a camper for many years, all around the world but this is the worst experience I had. Not to say that the so-called "Lake View" is actually trees' view. Also at night, the area has poor light so bring a flashlight with you in case you want to get safely to the toilet.
Dear Mrcea, I regret the fact that you write a review so bad that is absolutely not justified. You arrived, had your check in we talked, nothing was said besides the fact that you never camped nor glamped. You use the bathroom, bubbel and bed and leave in de middel of the night. No message, no call although I was on the premises I invisted to call me if anyhing was needed. You di no such thnig and just left as thieves in the night. After that you fil a complaint , ask for a efund and then you give us this review! I will not ask to get it erased. I would realy like for booking to keep the review as this is your truth. I am convinced everyone will make up his own mind in the end of what is true en false. Regards, Bernadette

Verified reviewFacilities are cozy, convenient and nice. Don’t expect luxury, but still a great upgrade from camping. Super friendly owner and very nice facilities such as private bathrooms and cooking area.
One air mattress was a bit cold during night, so we recommend blankets over and under.

Verified reviewThe place was beautiful and always clean. The owner was really nice and welcoming. It made our stay extra special, considering we were traveling with toddlers. We will come back without a doubt to this amazing place.
