Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location and style of the place was brilliant! Lovely restaurant and bar downstairs- we hadn’t quite realised this was here so would have eaten here as looked a lovely place to eat along with the menu but we already had reservations. Would definitely recommend - would be great to provide more tea and milk if at all possible - there was not enough milk for the tea and coffee provided but that was all and just a minor recommendation.

IrelandThere was no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs. There was no one at reception, but we were easily able to access our key card and got emails from the hotel in how to do so. Overall it was a fantastic stay.
It was a lovely decorated hotel, super comfy. In a fantastic location with a beautiful view of Bruges. Any restaurants, shops, or activities where only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

United KingdomNot a lot to dislike. It's a very old building so the rooms do not look ultra modern and they are a little quirky . But they are very clean which is all you can ask for.
Excellent location , comfortable bed and lovely friendly staff. The bar/restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Really quiet at night which was remarkable for its location.

SpainThings I didn't like: 1. Very limited toiletries in the room, just hand soap and shower gel. 2. Noisy in the morning – I had a room overlooking the side passage and at 7:30am they were moving bins through there and it woke me up. 3. There's no lift, it wasn't a problem - but I mention it for anyone who has difficulty on stairs, or those with heavy suitcases or baby strollers, etc - it's a steep staircase of about 25 steps. 4. No breakfast or possibility of breakfast as the whole place is shut until midday 5. No one there for checkout - you leave your room card in the room, then exit through the back door of the restaurant.
The hotel is actually like an Inn; you have to enter through a restaurant to get to a small reception; usually manned by one of the waiting staff. (*At night you have to use the side alley and a card to access through the back door). Things I liked: 1. The staff were all amazingly friendly 2. The room was basic, but clean and nicely decorated 3. It had a big flat screen tv that could easily be viewed from the bed 4. The restaurant food was very good, probably the best we tried in Brugges 5. The location - very central, right in the middle of the shopping district; within walking distance of the historical sights, the train station and there are many good bars, cafes and restaurants very close by. 6. The general vibe of the hotel, the evenings were always bustling as the restaurant was always full, but it never felt 'awkward' walking through it.

ItalyThe problem Is that It was at the 3rd floor, without elevator and with 2small Kids It was very challenging. There were also a lot of Doors to open and everything Is very narrow we were struggling with the stroller. We had also a problem with the car park in front of the hotel, because It was too low for our car and we had to Park very fare from the hote
The room Is big and cleaned as expected from the pictures. The staff was very kind and ready to help. l.

United KingdomI was going to eat in their restaurant, but I went down the stairs and got completely ignored by every member of staff, so I took my money elsewhere to a lovely restaurant just down the road. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay City tax for two people even though I was on my own.
The room was comfortable and spacious and it was in a great location, it was only about a 10 minute walk from the train station and only about 5 minute walk into the very centre of Brugge. I liked the fact that you could get in to leave your luggage if you arrived too early, however the small luggage room didn't seem all that secure. Luckily all my stuff was untouched when I got back. The hotel was quite quiet too, you never got much noise from the street.

DenmarkWhen we arrived the room it was freezing cold (especially the floor) and we had to use an extra electrical heater (besides the air conditioning) to get the room temperature up which took around 3 hours. The “city view” is very limited because of the placement of the windows.
Very beautiful and cozy modern little hotel located in the city center with a very nice restaurant downstairs. The staff was very friendly and problem solving oriented.
