Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing! It was perfect!
Our stay at Guesthouse Mirabel in the beautiful town of Bruges was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, Agna welcomed us with warmth and made us feel right at home. She and Benny are the most gracious hosts. The house itself is beautifully decorated—Agna is truly an artist. Every room is filled with character, including carefully chosen antiques that give the guesthouse so much charm. Our accommodations were very comfortable, with a cozy bed, soft pillows, and a perfect comforter for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay! Each evening, Agna took our order from a wide variety of selections, and every morning the presentation was first-class. The food itself exceeded all expectations—the fruit was the freshest and most delicious we have ever tasted, with an incredible variety served daily. Everything about our stay was perfect. We cannot recommend Guesthouse Mirabel highly enough—it is truly a gem in Bruges!

United StatesWhat a wonderful find! This guesthouse is a true gem, and we will be coming here again. The owners are lovely, and they work very hard to make their guests feel at home. The accomodations are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is simply amazing, and there are so many choices! Brugge is a truly walkable city, and Guesthouse Mirabel is a few minutes away from all the sights, famous bars and other attractions. We truly did not want to leave.

United StatesThis place was a very pleasant surprise! Lovely renovated large house offering six rooms. Ours was quite large with the nicest bathroom we’ve had in years! Bathtub, plus a shower, double sinks, excellent lighting. Bedroom was 20 x 20 feet. Breakfast was special too. Beautiful cut fruit plate, delicious oatmeal, eggs to order, choices of pastries, and more! Our hostess/owner Agna was so helpful and engaging. And the bus stop is less than 100 yards away! We HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

AustraliaNot a thing
I loved the renovations that have been done. The small details like handmade throws and chairs from the 1700’s. It has a very special feel to it. So close to town but very quiet and out of the tourist area. The breakfast was superb and the owners make you feel like nothing is a problem and they go above and beyond to create a special place for their guests. I felt very welcomed and comfortable.

This is the best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed any where in the world! The breakfast was simply perfect, we were able to pick what we wanted to eat every day, from the delicious 100% fruit juice and smoothies, fresh cut fruits, Belgian waffles (the best waffle we've ever had any where), hot food such as made to order eggs, bacon and sausages, deli meat and more. The hostess was super sweet. The service was 5 stars. Our room was huge with double sinks, windows that can be opened and has an bug screen (none of the hotels or airbnbs we stayed in the UK or Ireland had insect screens).

Everything about the hotel itself was perfect. The location was ideal. Minutes from the center., Inside was beautiful and bespoke. The suite was really comfortable to relax and sleep in. The staff made the whole stay perfect. None of the above would matter if the staff were not good. Agna was so lovely. And all the staff for that matter. But Agna was front of house and represented their core values extremely well. I actually miss Agna. You won't be sorry if you stay here. You'll want to go back. I most certainly will. Thank you so much, Agna, for an amazing experience in a beautiful city ❤️ 🙏

United StatesNothing to dislike. Exceeded my already high expectations.
Rooms, location, staff, breakfast, bath. As others have mentioned - the breakfasts, desserts, chocolates, bath, rooms, charm, etc. No need to reiterate all that others have said. They’re spot on. Agna was a gem of a hostess(and decorator). She clearly loves what she does, has created an incredibly warm, beautiful, elegant home with EVERY SINGLE ADDED TOUCH you can imagine, and treats her guests like dear old friends. She is so good at it that I can’t single out one thing! Truly incredible. Both she and her kind husband provide the epitome of what travelers wish for in a home away from home, and when it just so happens to be in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and is one of the most beautiful homes within that beautiful city — dreams come true. Agna, we will see you again someday. If, for some reason, we arrive tired, worn out, moody, or unkempt — I know that the minute we set foot into your home, see your smiling, beautiful, and compassionate face, and smell the wonderful aromas and absorb the cozy elegance of your gezellig abode — all will will be right with the world. Thank you for 2 days and nights of spoiled pampering! Stay well, our dear and special Belgian friend across the sea!
