How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

i wish there was access to water / snacks after 22:00. i was on a work trip and not usually back to the hotel until after 23:00 and could not access the complimentary water or fruits. and the basic rooms do not have any tea/kettle facilities (at the price point, this could be included in all rooms)
great team, warm friendly and personal hotel. windows open so can enjoy fresh air

Pillows were too small, there’s barely room decoration to make it feel homy and there’squite some noise coming through the door. Especially when you want to sleep-in, be aware that the cleaning staff does not consider being quiet and a lot of noise comes through the door. Also be aware there’s no mobile data and the WiFi is not strong enough to do anything decent. Don’t plan to do a zoom meeting

There was a family gathering when we stayed in the hotel. They all stayed late in the bar & as we had a room just above the bar, it was quite loud. There is a parking, but quite narrow. Just something to take into consideration..
We had a fantastic weekend away. We could start the day with a fantastic breakfast. The hotel staff was super helpful to provide tips for walking & as well for restaurants in the evening. Super convenient to just cross the street & be in the heide.

A little expensive considering everything. Check out staff was the complete opposite of the check-in guy.
Male staff very friendly and accommodating, rooms clean, breakfast got all you need. Pretty good for a non classified hotel.

Bunk bed was too high for the little ones but we managed well as the large bed was sufficient for us 4.. ( children are still small so it worked well)
Superb location, big room, staff was very friendly... Quiet and peaceful. Room had plenty of space for a family of 4..

Self-service bar closed at 22.00. Too early if you still want some tea or a drink in the evening No tea/coffee facility in the room.
Location (my room was at the back of the hotel). Excellent breakfast

Room with the kids mezzanine was great, but would have a better ladder as the metal on the feet was not great Should have a proper foot place

We loved our stay here ! The hotel staff is very kind and the bedroom was fantastic. Decoration was great and bed very confortable. We loved the breakfast also. We recommend 100%

The room could be more cosy but that is also a matter of taste.
Very service oriented, very clean rooms and facilities. Breakfast superb. I would come back and propose it to friends.

They have a policy of not ironing their sheets, or the table cloths, noted as a saving of energy for environmental reasons. although their commitment to the environment is admirable, to be honest, it just didnt look or feel right for a hotel, or perhaps they could select materials that didnt crease so easily.
I had what they said was a small room at the top of the hotel, it was actually very nice, clean, and they had made good use of the space available to them.

Missing ice cubes, especially when very warm. Parking quite tight, and gravel not very practical.. But we parked on the big parking space behind…so ok.
Great beds, wonderful air conditioning, comfortable rooms , and very friendly staff! The breakfast was beautiful!! Everything was fresh, large choice, lovely fresh baked bread, gorgeous fruit salads….

Want a dresser or at least shelves and more hangers available so we would not have to live out of our suitcases. Function over form please.
