Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Arrived during a heatwave and was feeling ill. I was able to check in early and a kind member of staff helped me to my room. Good restaurant on site, plenty of parking and right in the center of the town.

United Kingdoma small niggle is that you can hear the church bells, but not exceptional noisy.
Large room with air conditioning, large bathroom room was away from the main hotel which made it better. Breakfast was also just downstairs and was a large affair. All very friendly an relaxed. We parked around the back of the hotel at no extra cost.

This a delightful hotel with attractive facade in the centre of Dour. Our room was in an adjacent one storey building with a courtyard. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff and a great restaurant. We ate on the lovely terrace looking over the garden. We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would have happily stayed longer.

United KingdomWe chose this place as a base location to travel around by motorcycles, 30 mins from mons, 30 from Valenciennes and some absolutely gorgeous hidden gems so easily accessible. We didn’t eat at the restaurant due to husbands complex dietary requirements but the room and breakfast was fantastic. The breakfast was set out each morning by a lovely lady who always checked we had everything we needed and cleaned our room each day.

United KingdomOur only bad points were the windows didn’t open fully enough and the rooms were a little stuffy, the bathroom vent in the upstairs bathroom kept us awake during the night with its flapping from the outside wall. The steps into the little annex needed a hand rail, the steps were very steep and were difficult to get up for someone with mobility issues.
Absolutely superb hotel, staff were so attentive and helpful Food was first class, couldn’t fault it Mimi looked after us very well

United KingdomWe couldn't check in until 6pm. Apart from that, all good
Our group of 4 were given 4 rooms in the newly converted loft. rooms were decent size, very clean, nice shower, beds were comfortable, no complaints at all. Breakfast was prepared for us in the small personal dining are next to our rooms, decent breakfast but nothing hot. We eat in the restaurant, which we thought was expensive until we saw the food, which was plentiful and very good quality. In all a very good place to stay. Only down side was we could not check in until 6pm when it opened.

United KingdomThe amount of stairs to climb to the top floor rooms, there was a chair lift, but was not working, this only took you up one set of long stairs, then you have a door then another two sets of shorter stairs to go, and with luggage it can be daunting. The room I stayed in was adequate & clean, but the problem I had in that room was that the value window had no blind, shutter or covering, so I was awake at 5.45am.
Breakfast was good, everything at hand, nice selection of fresh continental foods & tea and coffee. all breakfast was set up for your arrival in the morning, very good service. The restaurant down stairs in the main building was very nice, with very good food selection with staff very attentive.

United KingdomDifficult to converse as well had limited french and the only person I met had limited english Impossible to communicate by phone as only had an answerphone to leave message. I think from a call to me the previous day they wanted me to arrive earlier than previously agreed. As I was travelling by Eurotunnel this was difficult, but I managed to get an earlier train and arrived early only to have to wait outside with no access to any facilities having spent 4 hours without stopping
Clean rooms with Aircon helped in warm weather The lady who met was very patient and pleasant
